S\u00f3lo pudieron encontrarse 28 cad\u00e1veres.  Murieron familias enteras, que hoy son recordadas con l\u00e1pidas y con un monumento en el lugar. En el pueblo donde ocurri\u00f3 la cat\u00e1strofe, conocido hoy como Ribadelago Viejo, s\u00f3lo viven en la actualidad 37 personas. El d\u00eda que hice esta foto estuvimos hablando con una de las supervivientes de la cat\u00e1strofe, una se\u00f1ora que era una ni\u00f1a cuando se rompi\u00f3 la presa. Perdi\u00f3 a toda su familia aquel d\u00eda.<\/p>\n<p><b>Ribadelago (English)<\/b><br \/>\nLast week I was in this town of Zamora (Spain) where a disaster occurred on the early morning of January 9th 1959, after the breaking of the <a href=\"http:\/\/loslugaresolvidados.blogspot.com\/2008\/01\/presa-de-vega-de-tera.html\">the dam of Vega de Tera<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>8 million cubic meters of water swept the village, killing 144 of its 549 inhabitants. Only 28 bodies could be found. Were killed entire families, who today are remembered with tombstones and a monument in place. In the town where the disaster occurred, now known as Ribadelago Viejo (Old Ribadelago), now live only 37 people. The day I took this photo we were talking to one of the survivors of the crash, a woman who was a child when the dam broke.
