The <a href=\"http:\/\/abteilung7.org\/aa7\/\">AA7 Historical Reenactment Association<\/a> has published on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/channel\/UCBSfGh6Y8fbRPynrG_-TR_A\">its Youtube channel<\/a> this video summary of the event, with a quality that is close to that of a war film:<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"665\" height=\"374\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/YcOFMSu6IDY?showinfo=0\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>You can see here another video of this year's edition of this reenactment event:<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"665\" height=\"374\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/Pp1Nh5fvh-k?showinfo=0\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><big>Poles who are remembered as heroes in Holland<\/big><\/p>\n<p><strong>This recreation recalls the successful liberation of the Dutch town of Breda at the hands of the 1st Polish Armored Division<\/strong>, led by General Stanis\u0142aw Maczek, one of the most celebrated Polish commanders of World War II. Maczek devised a maneuver to flank the German troops stationed there. <strong>After a hard fight, the Poles took the victory without a single casualty among the civilian population.<\/strong> In spite of being a hero of war, after the fight General Maczek, he suffered the same fate as many other Polish soldiers who had fought alongside the Western allies: <strong>the communist government of Poland, Stalin's puppet, stripped him of Polish citizenship<\/strong>, being forced to live exiled in the United Kingdom. In compensation, 40,000 inhabitants of Breda signed a petition with which they succeeded in granting Maczek Dutch citizenship. <strong>The general died in 1994, at the age of 102, and according to his wishes was buried in the Polish cemetery of Breda<\/strong>, along with the remains of many of his men who fought and fell in that locality.
