This year, as usual, they had in mind to launch a commercial and they produced one titled <strong>\"Our children, our future\"<\/strong>, in which the thread is a beautiful lullaby that a father sings to his baby. We are going through various moments of life in which fathers are present in the lives of their children. I show you the longest and most complete version (you can see the others in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/user\/fatherhoodfoundation\/videos\">the YouTube channel of Dads4Kids<\/a>):<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"665\" height=\"374\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/g3jvinNcpPg?rel=0&amp;showinfo=0\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><big>Is singing a lullaby for Father's Day a 'political process'?<\/big><\/p>\n<p>As it seems incredible, and according to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.smh.com.au\/federal-politics\/political-news\/free-tv-australia-denies-fathers-day-ad-was-blocked-for-being-too-political-20170902-gy9h5b.html\">The Sidney Morning Herald<\/a>, <strong>FreeTV Australia, the federation of Australian commercial television, has vetoed the ad for being \"too political\"<\/strong>, despite the fact that the commercial does not speak a second of politics. According to Free TV, the ad appears to <em>\"comment, encourage participation or attempt to influence a certain outcome within a political process.\"<\/em> But <strong>is Father's Day a \"political process\"?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><big>The LGTB collective has put the NGO in its sights<\/big><\/p>\n<p>It seems that the ban has to do with <strong>the postal survey conducted by the Australian Government for the possible legalization of marriage between people of the same sex<\/strong>. The survey will run from the present month of September until November and is not binding. In fact, according to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.news.com.au\/finance\/business\/media\/not-everything-is-about-samesex-marriage-fathers-day-ad-deemed-too-political-for-tv\/news-story\/08f5f7bea0357def1bea39858fe70dbd\">News.com.au<\/a>, <strong>a website of the LGTB group has accused Dads4Kids of having a different opinion from its own, as if this were a crime<\/strong> and prevented the NGO from developing any other work that has no relation with a political debate.<\/p>\n<p><big>\"We can no longer celebrate Father's Day,\" the Australian NGO laments<\/big><\/p>\n<p>Before this censorship, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.dads4kids.org.au\/\">Dads4Kids has published a note on its website<\/a> that says <strong>its commercials, which have been broadcasting for 15 years, <em>\"are simply a gentle encouragement to Australian dads<\/strong>, and an affirmation that they are an important figure in the lives of their children.\"<\/em> The NGO remembers that the ads <em>\"have been enthusiastically accepted and many TV stations play them all year long as a community service.\"<\/em> Dads4Kids adds: <em>\"we can no longer celebrate Fathers' Day without being forced to look at it through the lens of the same-sex marriage debate. It's a tragedy that a political motive is now implied in any mention of fatherhood.<\/em> The organization also wonders what they see as political in the ads: <strong><em>\"They feature a father singing a lullaby to his baby.
