Cuba es el \u00fanico de Am\u00e9rica Latina: <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/tzeisV9WAB\">https:\/\/t.co\/tzeisV9WAB<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/fJUiD39UZd\">pic.twitter.com\/fJUiD39UZd<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Naciones Unidas (@ONU_es) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/ONU_es\/status\/1206335373141409792?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">December 15, 2019<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p> <script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script>\n<\/div>\n<p><big>What the UN does not say about Cuba and its communist dictatorship<\/big><\/p>\n<p>Curiously, although this statement is published now, it links <a href=\"https:\/\/www.unicef.org\/es\/historias\/padre-desde-el-principio\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">a story published on the UN website on June 12<\/a>, in which a happy family is seen. Of course, <strong>the bedroom of the house has all the chipped walls<\/strong>, a sign of the enormous poverty that exists in Cuba, but about which the UN does not speak. In fact, in all the news <strong>there is not a single reference to the systematic violations of human rights on that island<\/strong>, subject to a communist dictatorship for 60 years. Nor is there talk about <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cubanet.org\/destacados\/escasez-de-productos-el-mal-endemico-de-cuba\/\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">the shortage of products that Cubans suffer<\/a> (something that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.outono.net\/elentir\/2019\/11\/24\/el-pais-defiende-el-racionamiento-para-evitar-el-ecofascismo-y-usando-una-foto-de-la-rda\/\">has already happened in European communist dictatorships<\/a>). It is enough to do a simple Twitter search to verify that <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/search?q=from%3AONU_es%20cuba&src=typed_query&f=live\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">the UN account frequently praises Cuba and rarely criticizes that dictatorship<\/a>, and when it does it is always <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/ONU_es\/status\/1040043635440529408\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">distributing criticism also to other countries<\/a>, such as Colombia, which is a democracy subjected to violent harassment for decades by communist terrorist grupos such as the FARC or the ELN.<\/p>\n<p><big>A day before praising Cuba the UN lashed out at the democratic Chile<\/big><\/p>\n<p>There is the paradox that a day before publishing that complimentary statement to Cuba, <strong>the same Twitter account of the UN directed harsh criticism to a democratic country such as Chile<\/strong>, ensuring that its police and military \"committed serious human rights violations during the protests\", but <strong>omitting any reference to the brutal wave of violence unleashed by the far-left in the country<\/strong>, including building fires, subway stations and police attacks:<\/p>\n<div align=\"center\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p lang=\"es\" dir=\"ltr\">Chile: <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/ONU_derechos?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@ONU_derechos<\/a> concluye que carabineros y militares cometieron graves violaciones de derechos humanos durante las protestas y el estado de emergencia. It should be remembered that <strong>Bachelet belongs to the Socialist Party, and was appointed for his current position by the Portuguese Antonio Guterres, UN secretary general and member of the Socialist Party of Portugal<\/strong>, a formation that currently governs in the Iberian country by the hand of the communists. When she was nominated for her current position, the NGO <a href=\"https:\/\/unwatch.org\/candidata-para-alta-comisionada-de-dd-hh-de-la-onu-tiene-historiales-problematicos-sobre-cuba-venezuela-y-nicaragua-un-watch-expresa-serias-preocupaciones\/\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">UN Watch denounced Bachelet's support \"to governments that have violated human rights such as Cuba, Venezuela and Nicaragua,\"<\/a> recalling that being president of Chile, she visited Cuba in 2018 without meeting with no member of the democratic opposition and <strong>without making any request to the communist regime in relation to their human rights violations.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><big>An admirer of dictator Fidel Castro watching over human rights?<\/big><\/p>\n<p>Likewise, UN Watch recalled <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/mbachelet\/status\/802474215676837888\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Bachelet's praise to dictator Fidel Castro<\/a> after his death in 2016, calling him \"a leader for dignity and social justice in Cuba and Latin America\" \u200b\u200b(<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cooperativa.cl\/noticias\/pais\/relaciones-exteriores\/cuba\/felipe-kast-me-choca-que-la-presidenta-aplauda-a-un-dictador-como-fidel\/2016-11-26\/121347.html\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">a statement strongly criticized in Chile<\/a>). <a href=\"https:\/\/www.emol.com\/noticias\/nacional\/2013\/03\/06\/587118\/bachelet-envia-condolencias-al-pueblo-de-venezuela-tras-muerte-de-hugo-chavez.html\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Bachelet also praised Hugo Chavez, calling him \"a great friend\"<\/a> after his death in 2013. Also, being president of Chile, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eldinamo.cl\/mundo\/2017\/07\/28\/human-rights-watch-es-un-grave-error-que-bachelet-no-califique-al-regimen-de-maduro-de-dictadura\/\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Bachelet refused to condemn the Maduro regime and qualify it as dictatorship<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/search?f=tweets&q=from%3A%40mbachelet%20ortega&src=typd\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">did not dedicate a single tweet to criticize the Ortega regime in Nicaragua<\/a>, responsible for numerous human rights violations. So far, <strong>Bachelet has not published a tweet of criticism of the Cuban communist regime.<\/strong> Last July, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.efe.com\/efe\/america\/portada\/mas-de-600-disidentes-invitan-a-bachelet-cuba-y-denuncian-abusos\/20000064-4028918\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">a group of 630 citizens of Cuba sent a letter to the High Commissioner to invite her to visit that country<\/a> and check the abuses committed by her Government.
