It reads the following: \"It is with great sorrow that we received the tragic news of the death of our friend, Major General Andrei Aleksandrovich Sukhovetsky<\/strong>, on the territory of Ukraine during a special operation. We express our deepest condolences to the family of Andrei Alexandrovich.\"<\/em><\/p>\n

Pravda notes<\/a> that Andrei Sukhovetsky graduated from the Ryazan Higher Airborne Command School in 1995:<\/strong> \"As reported on the Ministry of Defense website, he began his career as a platoon commander and rose to chief of staff of the airborne assault unit of the Guard.\"<\/em> According to the British newspaper Daily Mail, the Russian general would have been eliminated by a Ukrainian sniper.<\/a><\/p>\n
