Russia's bullying and threats against its neighbors continue to escalate, reaching their highest level this Friday in relation to Poland.<\/p>\n
This afternoon, the Russian state agency RIA Novosti has published a news item<\/a> with this headline: \"The State Duma proposed to put Poland in line for denazification\"<\/em><\/strong>, using the same cynical word that Putin used on February 24 to justify the Russian invasion of Ukraine. The news quotes the words of Oleg Morozov, Chairman of the State Duma Control Committee, responding to an article signed by Mateusz Morawiecki in the British newspaper The Telegraph<\/a> on Tuesday, May 10, in which the Polish Prime Minister stated:<\/strong><\/p>\n \"Putin\u2019s \u201cRusskiy Mir\u201d ideology is the equivalent of 20th-century communism and Nazism.<\/strong> It is an ideology through which Russia justifies invented rights and privileges for its country.<\/em> (...) \u201cRusskiy Mir\u201d is a cancer which is consuming not only the majority of Russian society, but also poses a deadly threat to the whole of Europe.<\/strong> Therefore it is not enough to support Ukraine in its military struggle with Russia. We must root out this monstrous new ideology entirely.\"<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n Oleg Morozov has declared: \"Poland encourages us to put it at the top of the queue for denazification after Ukraine.\"<\/em><\/strong> It is not the first war threat made by a senior leader of the Russian Federation against Poland, but it has been the most direct so far. Paradoxically, with this new threat, the Russian State Duma does nothing more than prove that the Polish Prime Minister was right with his claims.<\/strong><\/p>\n
