During the war,<strong> he fought on the Eastern Front, scoring 81 victories against Soviet aircraft <\/strong>(one more victory than Manfred von Richthofen, the \"Red Baron\"):<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"665\" height=\"374\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/kUXA7tfRE_U\" title=\"YouTube video player\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>As a curiosity, I found this other video published a few years ago by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/c\/HistoryHit\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">History Hit<\/a> in which it shows <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.com\/mundo\/media-40434342\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">the flight that Broch made in a British Spitfire fighter at 95 years of age<\/a>:<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Luftwaffe ace flies in Spitfire - BBC News\" width=\"665\" height=\"374\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/gJK20DawaJk?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Apparently,<strong> Broch is the only German ace who has had the opportunity to fly in this emblematic British fighter. <\/strong>Today, of the aces of that war that are still alive, he is the one with the highest number of victories.
