I warned then that eroding the most basic of all human rights, such as the right to life of unborn children, is very dangerous and often leads to the erosion of other rights subordinate to it. The pro-abortion lobby has been quick to demonstrate with facts, once again, that this warning was not exaggerated.

The left wants to veto the pro-life in the European Parliament

One day after the publication of that article, a group of MEPs from the left and extreme left have signed a letter addressed to the President of the European Parliament, Roberta Metsola, in which they ask that she prevent access to that chamber to what they describe as "radical conservative anti-abortion lobbyists." One of the signatories of the letter is María Eugenia Rodríguez Palop, MEP for Podemos, which is not surprising, considering that last year that far-left party voted against a European condemnation of the repression in Cuba, even denying that this country is a dictatorship, for the simple fact that Podemos shares its communist ideology.

They say that abortion is a "right" and ask to veto those who disagree

Another of the signatories, the leftist MEP Irene Tolleret, a member of Emmanuel Macron's La République en Marche party, has published the letter stating that abortion "is not an opinion, it is a fundamental right. There is no reason to give anti-abortion lobbies access to the European Parliament." This same argument is used in the aforementioned letter.

L’IVG ce n’est pas une opinion, c’est un droit fondamental.

Aucune raison de donner l’accès au Parlement 🇪🇺 aux lobbys anti IVG.

Stop à l’entrisme des mouvements ultra conservateurs dans les institutions.

Notre lettre à Roberta Metsola @EP_President👇@samiraraf @leplanning pic.twitter.com/Ua395esGZ2

— Irene Tolleret Vaccinee 🇪🇺🇫🇷🇺🇦🚀! First, well, these two treaties affirm the right to life (Article 3 of the UDHR and Article 2 of the CFREU), without including any expression that serves to exclude the unborn from that right.

They call "destructive ideology" to oppose the destruction of innocent lives

Demonstrating colossal cynicism, the signatories of that letter call "destructive ideology" that which defends the right to live of unborn children, and also accuse the defenders of life of spreading "propaganda" and "toxic and false narratives". A destructive ideology is the one that serves to justify the murder of 42 million unborn children in 2021 alone. A toxic and false narrative is one that denies the human condition of unborn children, taking the contrary to scientific evidence in order to eliminate the weakest and most defenseless members of our own species.

The worst propaganda is precisely that spread by people like the signatories of that letter, with their support for an ideology that not only erodes the right to life, but also seeks to end the freedom of expression of those of us who oppose this atrocity.

They invoke an argument that can be turned against them

The paradox is that the signatories of that letter base their request for censorship on an argument that could be turned around with them: "Destructive ideology curtailing fundamental human rights does not belong in the realm of free speech." Those who attack three fundamental rights are precisely the signatories of that letter. The first of these rights is the right to life, which, as I have pointed out, is protected by the UDHR and the CFREU, which do not recognize any right to kill innocent human beings, neither before nor after birth. The second right is freedom of expression, which the UDHR protects in its Article 19 in these terms:

"Everyone has the right to freedom of opinion and expression; this right includes freedom to hold opinions without interference and to seek, receive and impart information and ideas through any media and regardless of frontiers."

The CFREU includes this right in its Article 11:

"Everyone has the right to freedom of expression. The UDHR includes this right in its Article 7:

"All are equal before the law and are entitled without any discrimination to equal protection of the law. All are entitled to equal protection against any discrimination in violation of this Declaration and against any incitement to such discrimination."

The CFREU includes this right in its Article 21:

"Any discrimination based on any ground such as sex, race, colour, ethnic or social origin, genetic features, language, religion or belief, political or any other opinion, membership of a national minority, property, birth, disability, age or sexual orientation shall be prohibited."

Those who must be kicked out of the institutions are the enemies of life and liberty

Those left over in democratic institutions are precisely those who attack the right to life, freedom of expression and the right to equality, as the signatories of that letter have done.
