Since 1958 it has been operated by the Royal Navy. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/c\/madmickshere\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Madmickshere<\/a> published <strong>an interesting video of the aircraft that are abandoned in a part of the airfield:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"EXPLORE AIRFIELD OF ABANDONED MILITARY PLANES (2022, HARRIER  JETS, SEA KING HELICOPTERS) #Abandoned\" width=\"665\" height=\"374\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/Pp_FtklLMx8?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Among the aircraft shown in the video there is an old <strong>British Aerospace Sea Harrier FRS.Mk 1<\/strong>(the one at the top of this entry) of the Royal Navy, without the nose, and this <strong>Hawker Siddeley Harrier GR .3<\/strong> of the RAF:<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/52203557160_91564e5241_b.jpg\" style=\"width:100%; height:auto; margin:10px 0 10px 0;\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>The planes have notices from the British Ministry of Defense<\/strong> warning of the possible injuries they can cause:<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/52203323179_51c2090e71_b.jpg\" style=\"width:100%; height:auto; margin:10px 0 10px 0;\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>On the airfield you can also see this RAF Sepecat Jaguar<\/strong>, a two-seater version that has lost its drift.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/52203557075_05fa8446f7_b.jpg\" style=\"width:100%; height:auto; margin:10px 0 10px 0;\" \/><\/p>\n<p>There are also some helicopters, like these <strong>Westland Lynx from the British Army.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/52203323234_387c305f4f_b.jpg\" style=\"width:100%; height:auto; margin:10px 0 10px 0;\" \/><\/p>\n<p>And what are those aircraft doing there? Well, <strong>they are currently used by the Royal Naval School of Flight Deck Operations<\/strong> to train crews to rescue air accidents.
