According to the local media <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mediatv.nl\/tank-botst-op-geluidsscherm-rijksweg-a12-ter-hoogte-van-reeuwijk\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Mediatv.nl<\/a>, <strong>the accident is believed to have been caused by an explosion in the truck<\/strong>. After operating 445 main battle tanks of this type,<strong> Currently the Dutch Army only has 18 Leopard 2A6M A2s in active service<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/52269833671_937107bc33_b.jpg\" style=\"width:100%; height:auto; margin:10px 0 10px 0;\" \/><\/p>\n<p>A side photo of the accident, in which it can be seen that <strong>the rear axles of the truck were destroyed<\/strong>.
