In addition, <strong>Montero affirmed that children <em>\"have the right to know that they can love or have sexual relations with whoever they want.<\/strong> Based, yes, on consent. According to the Spanish Penal Code, <strong>the age of consent in Spain is 16 years old<\/strong>, an age at which we are already talking about adolescents. The \"sexual freedom law\" promoted by Montero and recently approved has left the following wording in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.boe.es\/buscar\/act.php?id=BOE-A-1995-25444&b=267&tn=1&p=20220907#a181\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Art. 181 of the Penal Code<\/a>: <em>\"<strong>Whoever performs acts of a sexual nature with a minor under sixteen years of age, will be punished with a prison sentence of two to six years<\/strong>\".<\/em> Is it that the minister has not read the law that she herself promoted and defended in Congress? <strong>Sexual relations between children and adults are a crime punishable by imprisonment.<\/strong> A child cannot have sex with whomever he pleases, Mrs. Montero.<\/p>\n<p><big>\"This is corruption of minors and apology for pederasty\"<\/big><\/p>\n<p>The reactions to the controversial statements of Montero have not been long in coming. <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/eledhmel\/status\/1572682711613018112\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Vox deputy Carla Toscano has pointed out:<\/a> <em>\"<strong>This is corruption of minors and apology for pedophilia. Dot.<\/strong>\"<\/em> Also from Vox, the MEP and First Vice President of Political Action <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Jorgebuxade\/ status\/1572689779510353921\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Jorge Buxad\u00e9 has pointed out<\/a>: <em>\"With crystal clear clarity, <strong>Mrs. Montero discovers what hides a part of that gender ideology: the hypersexualization of minors and the promotion of sexual acts between minors and adults<\/strong>;
