The Spanish and US navies have participated in a deployment in Turkish waters within the framework of the Dynamic Mariner 22 exercise organized by NATO.<\/p>\n

Spain contributed three ships to this exercise:<\/strong> the amphibious aircraft carrier \"Juan Carlos I\" L-61, the amphibious assault ship \"Castilla\" L-52 and the frigate \"Navarra\" F-85. The deployment has included forces from the Spanish Marine Infantry<\/strong> embarked on the first two ships, with a total of 600 soldiers and 90 amphibious vehicles, as well as assault ships and landing craft. The Spanish Navy Aircraft Fleet also participated in the exercise<\/strong>, with Harrier II Plus fighters and SH-60 Seahawk and AB-212 helicopters.<\/p>\n

As for the US Navy, its combat group has been led by the aircraft carrier USS George H.W. Bush (CVN 77)<\/strong>, of the Nimitz class. This aircraft carrier<\/a> and the US Navy, via the multimedia portal DVIDShub. net<\/a>, have published some spectacular photos of this exercise, carried out in the waters of the Ionian Sea, one of the arms of the Mediterranean Sea.<\/p>\n
