All five are dictatorships, once again. This time Eritrea, which rejected the March resolution, has abstained. Angola and Bangladesh, which abstained on the March resolution, have this time voted in favour. The Venezuelan dictatorship announced its rejection of the resolution, but he was unable to vote because he still hasn't paid his debts to the UN.

All the countries of Oceania and almost all of Europe have supported the resolution

It should be noted that almost all the countries of Europe have supported this resolution, with only three exceptions: Russia and Belarus (which have voted against), and Armenia, a traditional ally of Russia, which abstained. Even Serbia, Russia's traditional ally, has supported the resolution (it also supported the March resolution rejecting the invasion). Likewise, all the countries of Oceania have supported the resolution, as well as Israel, Japan and South Korea. Again, among the countries that have abstained or have been absent are traditional allies of Russia such as China, Cuba, Iran, Algeria, Laos and Vietnam.

A result that explains the support of the extreme left for Putin

The results of that vote explain the extreme left's support for Russia. Communists around the world continue to support Moscow as they did during the Cold War. In the end, the Putin regime does not hide its nostalgia for the Soviet Union and has maintained the main foreign allies that the USSR had: the communist dictatorships, also including other great enemies of the West such as the Iranian regime.

Those who now have even more difficulty explaining their support for Russia are some conservatives in the West. It must be said that support for Russia in the conservative sphere is very minority. In fact, in Europe, the conservative parties of the ECR, including Vox, are the ones that most oppose Russia, while the extreme left is the one that exhibits the most his support for Russian foreign policy. It is only natural that the extreme left supports Putin: it does not care about democracy, international law or the sovereignty of nations, and is ready to support anything that serves to weaken the West. The absurd thing is that there are some conservatives supporting a tyrant allied with communist dictatorships. Something like this can only be explained by the constant intoxication that the Russian propaganda media have been doing and the hundreds of millions of dollars invested by Moscow in expanding its influence in the West.

---

Main photo: United Nations.

Russia not only accumulates defeats in the military sphere in Ukraine, but has also already suffered two major defeats in the sphere of international politics.

[19536,10373
16581,16122,4480,16426,16123,4670,11043,10731,16153,11652,15307,10473,17598
post-48951","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-we-said-yesterday","category-world","tag-donbass","tag-donetsk","tag-eritrea","tag-kherson","tag-lugansk","tag-nicaragua","tag-north-korea","tag-russia","tag-russian-invasion-of-ukraine-of-2022","tag-syria","tag-ukraine","tag-united-nations","tag-zaporizhia
"publishpress_future_workflow_manual_trigger":
["GET
