Specifically, the P-63F was the only remaining unit of this variant of the Kingcobra. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/channel\/UCRz_EtX_7FToe32p5t_T6ZA\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">ShotzSmith Aviation<\/a><strong> published today the video of the two crashed planes in his last moments.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In the images we see the Boeing B-17G Flying Fortress \"Texas Raiders\" bomber and the Bell P-63F Kingcobra taxiing down the runway at Dallas Executive Airport, and below are <strong>images of the last takeoff of the \"Texas Raiders\", followed from the last air show he starred in, entitled \"Tora Tora Tora\"<\/strong>, a recreation of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.outono.net\/elentir\/2021\/12\/07\/figures-of-the-japanese-attack-on-the-american-base-at-pearl-harbor-in-1941\/\">japanese air attack on Pearl Harbor<\/a> on December 7, 1941. It was during that recreation that the collision occurred between the P-63F and the B-17G:<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Wings over Dallas 2022 B17 Texas Raiders Full Demo &amp; Crash Tribute HD\" width=\"665\" height=\"374\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/zIi2b2Ztem0?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><strong>In the images we see four of the five crew members of the B-17<\/strong> (with serial number 44-83872 and civil license register N7227C). One of them was in the front dome of the plane:<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/52497842758_a45aa10772_c.jpg\" style=\"width:100%; height:auto; margin:10px 0 10px 0;\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>The other three were in the cockpit:<\/strong> the pilot, the co-pilot and a person who was behind them, waving. At the moment, the Commemorative Air Force, owner of both planes, has not yet published the names of the deceased (they were waiting for authorization from an official agency to publish them):<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/52497281901_c1d4d8d95c_c.jpg\" style=\"width:100%; height:auto; margin:10px 0 10px 0;\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Here we can see the P-63F<\/strong>, with serial number 43-11719 and civil registration N6763. Being a single-seat aircraft, it only carried one crew member:<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/52497569304_a24bd8f2fc_c.jpg\" style=\"width:100%; height:auto; margin:10px 0 10px 0;\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>The last takeoff of the B-17 \"Texas Raiders\".<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/52497281856_116bf8116f_c.jpg\" style=\"width:100%; height:auto; margin:10px 0 10px 0;\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The video includes this scene in which <strong>the \"Texas Raiders\" pretends to have been damaged by a Japanese plane<\/strong>. The plane had a smoke emitter in one of its engines, to simulate a fire, and the port landing gear was lowered, but not the starboard one. It was a regular recreation of this B-17.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/52496801652_d1852cf690_c.jpg\" style=\"width:100%; height:auto; margin:10px 0 10px 0;\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The video includes images of the collision that have been spread on social media (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.outono.net\/elentir\/2022\/11\/12\/dallas-colision-en-vuelo-de-un-bombardero-b-17-flying-fortress-y-de-un-caza-de-la-sgm\/\">one of the videos we saw here yesterday<\/a>), and then shows us the shattered remains of the two planes:<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/52497764015_03f1f131a0_c.jpg\" style=\"width:100%; height:auto; margin:10px 0 10px 0;\" \/><\/p>\n<p>On the other hand, the Youtube channel <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/c\/WingsOvertheRockiesAirSpaceMuseum\/featured\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Wings Over the Rockies Air & Space Museum<\/a> <strong>published in recent weeks a two-part report on the \"Texas Raiders\"<\/strong>.
