This law provides for spending of 857.9 billion dollars on defense by 2023, and also indicates <strong>the total strength that the five service branches of the US Armed Forces will have:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Army: 452,000.<\/li>\n<li>Navy: 354,000.<\/li>\n<li>Air Force: 325,344.<\/li>\n<li>Marine Corps: 177,000.<\/li>\n<li>Space Force: 8,600.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Let us now see some of the new features that this law presents for each branch of the Armed Forces.<\/p>\n<p><big>Air Force<\/big><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>4 additional <strong>Gulfstream EC-37B Compass Call<\/strong> electronic jamming aircraft.<\/li>\n<li>5 additional <strong>F-35A<\/strong> fighters.<\/li>\n<li>10 additional <strong>HH-60W Pave Hawk<\/strong> helicopters.<\/li>\n<li>Prohibits the removal of <strong>F-22 Raptor<\/strong> Block 20 fighters.<\/li>\n<li>301 million dollars to accelerate the AWACS program <strong>Boeing E-7 Wedgetail<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Prevents or modifies retirement plans for <strong>B-1B Lancer <\/strong> bombers, <strong>F-15 Eagle <\/strong> fighters, AWACS <strong>E-3 Sentry <\/strong> and transport aircraft <strong>Boeing C-40 Clipper<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Increases funding for <strong>General Atomics MQ-1C Gray Eagle<\/strong> drones.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><big>Army<\/big><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>More funds for the acquisition of <strong>armored fighting vehicles, ammunition, and air and anti-missile defenses.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>More funds for the <strong>CH-47 Chinook<\/strong> and <strong>UH-60 Black Hawk<\/strong> helicopters.<\/li>\n<li>More funds for surface-to-air missiles <strong>M-SHORAD<\/strong> and <strong>MIM-104 Patriot<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>More funding for <strong>M-1 Abrams<\/strong> tanks, <strong>M-109A6 Paladin<\/strong> self-propelled howitzers, and modernization of <strong>M-1126 Stryker infantry fighting vehicles <\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>More funding for <strong>infantry squad vehicles, medium vehicles, and heavy tactical vehicles<\/strong>, dump trucks, and modernization of <strong>Humvees<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><big>Navy and Marine Corps<\/big><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>25 new hovercraft <strong>LCAC-100<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>15 new <strong>Arleigh Burke<\/strong> class destroyers.<\/li>\n<li>8 new <strong>Lewis<\/strong> class oil tankers.<\/li>\n<li>5 new <strong>amphibious ships<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>2 new <strong>Virginia<\/strong> class submarines.<\/li>\n<li>2 new <strong>fast expeditionary transports<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>1 <strong>Constellation<\/strong> class frigate.<\/li>\n<li>1 <strong>San Antonio<\/strong> class amphibious ship.<\/li>\n<li>1 <strong>John Lewis<\/strong> class refueling ship.<\/li>\n<li>1 <strong>Navajo<\/strong> class towing, salvage and rescue boat.<\/li>\n<li>More funding for the <strong>America-class LHA-10 amphibious aircraft carrier<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>8 new <strong>F-18E\/F Super Hornet<\/strong> fighters.<\/li>\n<li>16 new <strong>F-35C<\/strong> fighters.<\/li>\n<li>15 new <strong>F-35B<\/strong> fighters.<\/li>\n<li>2 new <strong>V-22 Osprey<\/strong> convertiplanes.<\/li>\n<li>7 new AWACS <strong>E-2D Hawkeye<\/strong> aircraft.<\/li>\n<li>5 new <strong>KC-130J Super Hercules<\/strong> tanker aircraft.<\/li>\n<li>3 new <strong>MQ-4 Triton<\/strong> drones.<\/li>\n<li>4 new <strong>MQ-25 Stingray<\/strong> drones.<\/li>\n<li>12 heavy helicopters <strong>Sikorsky CH-53K King Stallion<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>5.9 billion dollars for 2,365 <strong>munitions<\/strong> for the Armadat.<\/li>\n<li>250 million dollars for <strong>Standard<\/strong> missiles.<\/li>\n<li>200 million dollars for <strong>Naval Strike Missiles<\/strong> (NSM).<\/li>\n<li>$53 million for <strong>long-range anti-ship missiles<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>20 million dollars for <strong>RGM-84 Harpoon<\/strong> anti-ship missiles.<\/li>\n<li>200 additional <strong>Mk-54<\/strong> torpedoes.<\/li>\n<li>55 additional <strong>Mk-48<\/strong> torpedoes.<\/li>\n<li>79 additional <strong>AIM-9 Sidewinder<\/strong> air-to-air missiles.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>---<\/p>\n<p><small>Photo: USAF.
