\nSEJM OF THE REPUBLIC OF POLAND<\/strong>

\non the recognition of the Russian Federation as a state supporting terrorism<\/strong><\/p>\nThe Sejm of the Republic of Poland declares that the Russian Federation systematically violates human rights, international law and the United Nations Charter<\/strong> and a number of other obligations. It annexes the territories of other countries, commits armed attacks, war crimes and genocide<\/strong>, and engages in hostile economic activities, particularly in the energy sector.<\/p>\nThe Russian Federation is directly responsible for the shooting down of Malaysia Airlines Flight MH17<\/strong> in July 2014, which killed 298 passengers and crew, and for the crash of Polish Air Force Flight 101 in Smolensk<\/strong> in April 2010, which killed 96 people on board, including the President of the Republic of Poland, Lech Kaczy\u0144ski, Polish government officials, top Polish and NATO military commanders, and members of the Polish parliament .<\/p>\nThe brutal and illegal aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine continues.<\/strong> The Russian army is carrying out attacks throughout the territory of the invaded country, in which thousands of people have died, including many children. The Russian Federation and its armed structures and formations commit acts of terror against civilian infrastructure<\/strong>, mass executions and kidnappings, sexual violence and torture, separating children from their families to subject them to Russification, mass deportations of the population, forced conscription of Ukrainian citizens to the Russian armed forces and theft of property. Russia repeatedly violates the Geneva Convention<\/strong> on the Treatment of Prisoners of War.<\/p>\nBy forcibly blockading Ukrainian ports and paralyzing maritime communications on the routes leading to them without declaring war, the Russian Federation has committed an act of international piracy<\/strong>. By burning and looting Ukrainian lands and preventing Ukraine from exporting agricultural products for a long time, it brought the specter of famine to many countries in Africa and Asia.<\/strong><\/p>\nRussia also uses strategically important facilities, including nuclear power plants, to increase the sense of threat and blackmail not only the Ukrainians, but also the international community<\/strong> with the specter of harm to this type of facilities and the resulting massive radioactive contamination.<\/p>\nRussia's aggression against Ukraine constitutes a flagrant violation of the prohibition on the use of force under art. 2 seconds. 4 of the United Nations Charter and is a violation of the sovereignty, political independence and territorial integrity of Ukraine<\/strong>. According to the Charter of the United Nations, changing borders by force is a crime against peace. Russia's forms of terror against Ukrainian citizens are crimes against humanity and genocide.<\/strong><\/p>\nThe Sejm of the Republic of Poland supports an independent and sovereign Ukraine within its internationally recognized borders.<\/strong> Welcomes the resolution of the Senate of the Republic of Poland of October 26, 2022 on recognition of the authorities of the Russian Federation as a terrorist regime<\/strong> and the resolution of the European Parliament of November 23, 2022 on the recognition of the Russian Federation as a state sponsoring terrorism and calls on the European Commission, other institutions of the EU and all UN member states to adopt the same position<\/strong> and take the necessary measures to stop the Russian aggression and punish the aggressor.<\/p>\nRussia must be isolated in the international arena. The Sejm of the Republic of Poland declares that all those directly and indirectly responsible for committing Russian war crimes in Ukraine must be brought to justice.<\/strong> Supports all international mechanisms to bring them to justice, including the cooperation with the International Criminal Court and the International Court of Justice to find the most effective ways to identify and prosecute perpetrators.<\/strong><\/p>\nThe Sejm of the Republic of Poland calls on the Council of Ministers to continue and expand activities aimed at imposing further sanctions packages on the Russian Federation and all persons who support the criminal regime of Vladimir Putin<\/strong>, as well as as more material and political support for Ukraine. in the fight against the aggressor.
