Russian hands and the Japanese continue to claim it). <strong>Eventually, those tanks were abandoned in place<\/strong>, now forming part of the island's landscape.<\/p>\n<p>In 2018, Russian urban explorer <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/channel\/UCQu_6BbzWbL_2TlQ8-pEG9A\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">CrossPorcupine<\/a> <strong>posted an interesting Video of one of these abandoned tanks in Shikotan, specifically an IS-3<\/strong> placed in a protected position on top of a hill. As you can see in the video, <strong>surprisingly, its turret and cannon still move<\/strong>.
