September, in the Ukrainian counteroffensive launched last summer. A few days later, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.outono.net\/elentir\/2022\/09\/16\/the-images-of-the-crimes-of-the-russian-army-in-izyum-russia-must-pay-for-this\/\">pits were discovered with hundreds of corpses of men, women and children who were tortured and killed by the Russians<\/a>. Many of the bodies had their hands tied and marks of point-blank shots. The images of those tombs and the corpses went around the world and showed the war crimes committed by the invaders.<\/p>\n<p>However, those crimes have not been limited to the findings of those graves. As has happened in other parts of Ukraine, <strong>the Russians attacked residential areas of Izyum, leaving much of the city in ruins<\/strong>.
