Curiosamente, <strong>casi ning\u00fan medio ha preguntado a sus lectores sobre esta cuesti\u00f3n<\/strong>. Sobre Ram\u00f3n Tamames hay que se\u00f1alar que naci\u00f3 en 1933 y, como bien han se\u00f1alado algunos, <strong>fue miembro del Partido Comunista de Espa\u00f1a<\/strong> y de Izquierda Unida, militancia que abandon\u00f3 en 1987. Lo que algunos olvidan citar es que <strong>en 1989 se uni\u00f3 al Centro Democr\u00e1tico y Social (CDS) de Adolfo Su\u00e1rez<\/strong>. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lasprovincias.es\/v\/20130526\/gente\/ramon-tamames-tratado-pasarlo-20130526.html\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">En 2013 reconoci\u00f3 que ha evolucionado a posiciones mucho m\u00e1s conservadoras<\/a>. Desde hace a\u00f1os se muestra<strong> muy cr\u00edtico con la izquierda y con el separatismo.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>En el \u00e1mbito acad\u00e9mico, <strong>es Catedr\u00e1tico de Estructura Econ\u00f3mica en la Universidad Aut\u00f3noma de Madrid desde 1970<\/strong>. Es miembro de la Real Academia de Ciencias Morales y Pol\u00edticas desde 2012. En 1993 recibi\u00f3 el Premio Espasa de Ensayo, en 1997 se le otorg\u00f3 el <strong>Premio Rey Jaime I de Econom\u00eda<\/strong> y el Premio Castilla y Le\u00f3n a la Protecci\u00f3n del Medioambiente, y <strong>en 2003 recibi\u00f3 el Premio Nacional de Econom\u00eda y Medio Ambiente<\/strong>. Desde 1965 ha publicado decenas de obras relacionadas con la pol\u00edtica, la econom\u00eda y la historia. Su obra m\u00e1s reciente, publicada por Espasa en 2021 y que ya lleva varias ediciones, se titula <a href=\"https:\/\/www.planetadelibros.com\/libro-la-mitad-del-mundo-que-fue-de-espana\/328776\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">\"La mitad del mundo que fue de Espa\u00f1a.
