To review the effects of this Russian terrorism, <b>we are going to review both the deaths caused by the invasion and the material damage.<\/b><\/p>\n<p><big>Russian crimes against the Ukrainian civilian population<\/big><\/p>\n<p>This Wednesday, <a href=\"https:\/\/gp.gov.ua\/ua\/posts\/preskonferenciya-andriya-kostina-pro-roboti-prokuraturi-za-rik-povnomasstabnoyi-agresiyi-rf\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">the General Prosecutor's Office of Ukraine has published the numbers of civilian victims of the Russian invasion<\/a>, noting these data:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>9,655 civilians killed.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>461 children killed.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>12.829 injured civilianss.<\/li>\n<li>926 injured children.<\/li>\n<li><strong>More than 700 civilians killed in the Bucha massacre.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>739 civilians killed in the Kharkov region, where 21 Russian-installed torture chambers have been discovered<\/strong> and where more than 1,007 civilians have been abducted or have disappeared. In that region alone, <strong>more than 12,000 war crimes<\/strong> committed by the invaders have been registered.<\/li>\n<li><strong>1,232 people kidnapped or disappeared in the Kherson region, where 10 torture chambers installed by the Russians have been found.<\/strong> More than 11,000 war crimes committed by the invaders have been recorded in that region.<\/li>\n<li><strong>More than 2,600 war crimes against children<\/strong>, including the death or injury of children, cases of armed attacks against children's institutions and facilities, and cases of forced deportation or kidnapping.<\/li>\n<li><strong>More than 16,000 Ukrainian children forcibly displaced.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Likewise, the Ukrainian Prosecutor's Office <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/GP_Ukraine\/status\/1629144987207184384\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">published today<\/a> that the invaders have committed <strong>71,321 crimes of aggression and war crimes<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>On Wednesday, the Office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights published <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ohchr.org\/sites\/default\/files\/documents\/press\/hrmmu-civilian-casualties-24feb2022-15feb2023-en.pdf\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">its most recent report (see PDF)<\/a> on the civilian casualties caused by this invasion from February 24, 2022 to February 15, 2023. In total,<strong> the invasion ordered by Putin has already left the following numbers:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>8,006 dead, including 487 children.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Civilian <strong>deaths<\/strong> include <strong>3,533 men, 2,096 women<\/strong> and 1,890 persons whose sex is unknown, as well as <strong>256 boys, 200 girls <\/strong>and 31 minors whose sex is unknown.<\/li>\n<li><strong>13,287 injured, including 954 children.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>The <strong>injured<\/strong> among the civilian population include <strong>3,460 men, 2,361 women<\/strong> and 6,512 persons whose sex is unknown, as well as <strong>394 boys, 290 girls <\/strong>and 270 minors whose sex is unknown.<\/li>\n<li>The cited victims have occurred in 1,141 locations in Ukraine.<\/li>\n<li><strong>The month with the most victims was March 2022<\/strong>, with 3,918 deaths and 2,967 injuries.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Most of the dead (6,585) were killed by explosive weapons<\/strong> (including aerial bombs, rockets, artillery and cruise missiles), 1,202 were killed by small arms and 219 by land mines.<\/li>\n<li><strong>In 2022, the death toll was 7,749.<\/strong> In 2021 there were 25 deaths due to the armed uprising of pro-Russian separatists in Donbass, supported by Russia. Let us remember that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.outono.net\/elentir\/2022\/03\/20\/data-against-the-hoax-that-accuses-ukraine-of-committing-a-genocide-in-the-donbas\/\">Russia described as \"genocide\" an armed conflict that it itself provoked and fueled<\/a>. The accusation is loaded with cynicism if we take into account that <strong>the Russian invasion has multiplied by 309 the death toll of the previous year.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><big>Material damage caused by the Russian invasion<\/big><\/p>\n<p>Regarding material damage, <a href=\"https:\/\/gp.gov.ua\/ua\/posts\/preskonferenciya-andriya-kostina-pro-roboti-prokuraturi-za-rik-povnomasstabnoyi-agresiyi-rf\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">the General Prosecutor's Office of Ukraine released these figures<\/a> on Wednesday:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>81,305 civil infrastructures<\/strong> damaged or destroyed.<\/li>\n<li><strong>62,229 residential buildings<\/strong> damaged or destroyed.<\/li>\n<li><strong>462 medical centers<\/strong> damaged or destroyed.<\/li>\n<li><strong>2,309 educational centers<\/strong> damaged or destroyed.<\/li>\n<li><strong>322 cultural buildings<\/strong> damaged or destroyed.<\/li>\n<li><strong>97 churches and religious buildings<\/strong> damaged or destroyed.<\/li>\n<li><strong>4,040 basic infrastructures<\/strong> (gas pipelines, aqueducts and electrical networks) damaged or destroyed.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Likewise, this Wednesday <a href=\"https:\/\/www.unesco.org\/en\/articles\/damaged-cultural-sites-ukraine-verified-unesco\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">UNESCO has published a report<\/a> pointing out the following <strong>material damage caused by the Russian invasion:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>106 religious centers.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>18 museums.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>86 buildings of historical and artistic interest.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>19 monuments.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>12 librer\u00edas.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>This war must not only end with the victory of Ukraine<\/strong>, if we really want to restore peace in Europe.
