On the occasion of the first anniversary of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, there is a significant fact that has been overlooked by almost all the media.<\/p>\n
Poland's warnings against Russia, ignored by the EU<\/big><\/p>\n This data refers to the ideological sign of the governments that were decisive in getting Europe to decide to support Ukraine against the Russian invasion<\/strong>, and when it seemed that the Ukrainians could not face up to the overwhelming Russian offensive. It wasn't exactly those who most boasted of being \"progressives\" who took that step. The initiative was led prominently by the conservative government of Poland, a partner of the Spanish Vox party.<\/strong> And it did not do so impromptu. Let's remember that already on November 21, 2021, Poland alerted Europe to the Russian threat<\/a>, pointing out that the migration offensive launched by Belarus - with the support of Russia - against Poland, Lithuania and Latvia \"is only the beginning. Dictators will not stop\"<\/em>.<\/p>\n That day, the Prime Minister of Poland, Mateusz Morawiecki<\/strong>, spoke firm words against Russia that contrasted with the lukewarmness of the EU: \"Poland will not give in to blackmail and will do everything everything possible to stop the evil that threatens Europe.<\/strong> For centuries, Poland has been protecting our common home.When invaders, tyrants and subsequent totalitarian dictatorships had to be confronted, we were always in the first place. line<\/strong>\"<\/em>.<\/p>\n The words about Russia from a Spanish Vox MEP<\/big><\/p>\n Recall that Russian troops had started massing on the Ukrainian borders in April 2021<\/a>, but the progressive and centrist governments of the West preferred to ignore the threat. In July 2021, Merkel and Biden agreed to complete the Nord Stream 2 pipeline<\/a>. Germany and France, the leading countries of the EU, continued with their policy of appeasing Russia. On September 14, 2021, Spanish MEP Hermann Tertsch, from Vox<\/strong>, condemned<\/a> the aforementioned gas pipeline and recalled that \"Putin is not reliable nor does he respect human rights\"<\/em><\/strong>, and added that \"the EU must to be firm and united against Putin's Russia.\"<\/em> But Brussels insisted on continuing to ignore the threat.<\/p>\n What the Polish Prime Minister said before the invasion<\/big><\/p>\n On November 25, 2021, Morawiecki denounced Europe's \"passivity\" in the face of the Russian threat<\/a> and warned against the energy blackmail that this gas pipeline facilitated Russia against the EU: \"Russia has been constantly struggling to rebuild the imperial position<\/strong> and subordinate a significant part of Europe for years. Its strength is our passivity.\"<\/em> The Polish Prime Minister added: \"Europe is more than the EU.Countries that remain outside the EU, such as Ukraine and Moldova, must be given a signal that they are not alone at the mercy of Moscow's neo-imperial politics.<\/strong> We must come back with more to the idea of expanding the Union with new members.\"<\/em> But the European Union continued to ignore it.<\/p>\n On January 28, Morawiecki denounced<\/a>: \"Today we are faced with an extremely dangerous situation, caused, among other things, by the erroneous policy of the European People's Party<\/strong >, chaired by Donald Tusk It is also through his actions and consent to the Nord Stream 2 project that Vladimir Putin now has the energetic instruments of blackmail in his hand<\/strong>.\"<\/em><\/p>\n The warning against Russia from Madrid<\/big><\/p>\n On January 29, at a meeting organized by Vox in Madrid, a manifesto was published<\/a> stating that \"Russia's military actions on the eastern border have brought Europe to the brink of war<\/strong>\"<\/em>, a statement included in the text at the request of the Polish Prime Minister. European progressivism continued to despise the threat and Spanish media commented on that manifesto with nicknames such as \"ultra-right\"<\/a>, \"ultraconservatives\"<\/a> and \"extreme right\"<\/a>. At that time, some Spanish television channels invited \"experts\" who mocked a possible Russian invasion of Ukraine<\/strong>. In the midst of this general blindness, at the beginning of December 2021, Russia already had 175,000 troops concentrated on the Ukrainian border<\/a>.<\/p>\n The conservative governments of Poland and the United Kingdom took the initiative<\/big><\/p>\n On February 1, the conservative governments of Poland and the United Kingdom promised to send military aid to Ukraine<\/a> in the face of the already more than foreseeable Russian aggression, which was publicly confirmed on February 22, when Putin signed the invasion order<\/a>. On February 23, in a clear challenge to the Russian dictator, the president of Poland, Andrzej Duda, and that of Lithuania, Gitanas Naus\u0117da, traveled to Kiev<\/a> (the first conservative, the second popular) to show their support for Ukraine. Once the invasion started, Poland gave a lesson in solidarity to the world with an unprecedented reception of refugees<\/a> from Ukraine, many of whom were hosted by Poles in their own homes.<\/p>\n Polish, British and Czech military aid to Ukraine<\/big><\/p>\n In the months since, the conservative governments of Poland, the UK and the Czech Republic have been between<\/strong> those who have offered the most military aid to Ukraine<\/a>. Specifically, it must be remembered that the first country to donate its tanks to Ukraine was the Czech Republic<\/a> and the one that has donated the most tanks, by far, has been Poland<\/a>. Likewise, and for a few months, the new Italian government of conservative Giorgia Meloni has become one of the most enthusiastic supporters of the Ukrainian cause<\/a>, recalling: \"The situation in Ukraine and the courage of those who stayed to defend their land have demolished the myths of the globalist left<\/strong>, which is now finally forced to recognize the value of homeland and borders.\"<\/em><\/p>\n The lukewarm attitude of Germany and France and the ridiculous help of S\u00e1nchez<\/big><\/p>\n Meanwhile, the progressive governments of Germany and France have for months adopted a lukewarm attitude<\/a>, with conflicting messages and attempts to appease Putin. In turn, the socialist government of Spain offered ridiculous help<\/a> and left Ukrainian refugees abandoned<\/a>, who have been pushed into the queues of hunger or to return to their country. All this while Pedro S\u00e1nchez's government triggered the purchase of Russian gas<\/a>, thus financing Putin's aggression against Ukraine.<\/p>\n Europe must not forget who it can count on in difficult times<\/big><\/p>\n When the history of this war is written, the world must not forget who were the first to warn about the danger posed by Russian imperialism, while the others turned a deaf ear to their warnings. If the flame of Freedom in Ukraine is kept alive today, it is, to a large extent, because European conservative governments took the initiative in supporting it<\/strong>, while many \"progressives\" -with honorable exceptions such as the Estonia's progressive government, which has the threat at its doorstep- looked the other way, consumed Ukraine's time with promises that were not kept and dedicated themselves to financing Putin's war with massive gas purchases.<\/p>\n If Ukraine had depended exclusively on the incredulous, relativist and cowardly left that dominates Brussels<\/strong>, the same left that for years has unleashed political persecution against Poland for not submitting to its ideological dogmas, the Russians would have They had already reached the Polish border<\/strong> and were preparing for the next invasion.
