{"id":51239,"date":"2023-04-18T21:38:14","date_gmt":"2023-04-18T19:38:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.outono.net\/elentir\/?p=51239"},"modified":"2025-04-18T00:08:22","modified_gmt":"2025-04-17T22:08:22","slug":"the-boarding-in-train-of-more-than-100-armored-vehicles-of-the-spanish-army-in-madrid","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.outono.net\/elentir\/2023\/04\/18\/the-boarding-in-train-of-more-than-100-armored-vehicles-of-the-spanish-army-in-madrid\/","title":{"rendered":"The boarding in train of more than 100 armored vehicles of the Spanish Army in Madrid"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The XII \"Guadarrama\" Brigade of the Spanish Army has embarked more than a hundred vehicles by train for Exercise Armor Plate I\/23.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p><rel><a href=\"https:\/\/www.outono.net\/elentir\/2023\/04\/06\/the-spanish-leopardo-2e-and-other-allied-tanks-in-a-good-video-of-the-latvian-army\/\">The Spanish Leopardo 2E and other allied tanks in a good video of the Latvian Army<\/a><\/rel><br \/>\n<rel><a href=\"https:\/\/www.outono.net\/elentir\/2023\/03\/31\/the-excellent-images-of-the-latvian-army-on-an-exercise-with-the-spanish-military\/\">The excellent images of the Latvian Army on an exercise with the Spanish military<\/a><\/rel><\/p>\n<p>The purpose of this exercise, which will take place at the \"San Gregorio\" National Training Center (CENAD) in Zaragoza, is to <strong>certify the eFP XIII contingent for its upcoming deployment in Latvia<\/strong>, in addition to maintaining the capabilities of this Brigade as a Spanish component of the NATO Very High Readiness Joint Force (VJTF). <strong>The armored vehicles were loaded at the loading dock located to the south of the El Goloso Military Base<\/strong>, in Madrid, where this Brigade is headquartered.<\/p>\n<p>Today the Spanish Army has released an interesting video showing the shipment tasks of <strong>Leopard 2E combat tanks, M-109 self-propelled howitzers, M-113 armored transports and Leopard 2ER Buffalo recovery vehicles<\/strong>, among others. The shipment work had the support of personnel from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.outono.net\/elentir\/2021\/10\/23\/la-compania-de-ferrocarriles-del-ejercito-de-tierra-sirviendo-a-espana-en-las-vias-ferreas\/\">the Railway Company<\/a> of the Regiment of Pontooners and Specialties of Engineers n\u00ba12 (RPEI 12):<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Ejercicio &quot;Armour Plate 23&quot; Brigada &quot;Guadarrama&quot; XII\" width=\"665\" height=\"374\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/srzZFJdvLPc?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>You can see here some screenshots of the video, with some notes about what appears in it. In this image we see, on the left, <strong> two M-113 armored personnel carriers <\/strong> (the top one looks like an M-113 VCZ sapper vehicle), and on the right <strong>a Leopard 2ER Buffalo recovery vehicle and a Leopard 2E tank.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/52828065778_fe9a80f033_b.jpg\" style=\"width:100%; height:auto; margin:10px 0 10px 0;\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Another image of armored vehicles being loaded onto flatcars. In the wagons on the right we can see, from top to bottom, <strong>five Leopardo 2E, four M-109 and six M-113<\/strong>. On the left we see <strong>seven Leopard 2Es<\/strong> already on the wagons, and on the right are <strong>seven M-113s<\/strong> (the first and third from the top are M-113 sapper vehicles VCZ). In the background on the right, outside the wagons, is parked <strong>an Iveco-Pegaso 40.10WM military ambulance<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/52827052312_2df66d3a04_b.jpg\" style=\"width:100%; height:auto; margin:10px 0 10px 0;\" \/><\/p>\n<p>An overhead shot of the two rows of wagons. <strong>Above we show two M-109 and below two Leopard 2E<\/strong> (on the right the barrel of another one appears). These vehicles, due to their size, occupy a single wagon each.
