It was erected as a home in the middle of the Colonia de Santa Isabel. It was abandoned in the late 1950s and today is in a dilapidated state. The palace is still in private hands and can be visited free of charge.

The exact date of construction of the Hermitage of Calvario in Villafranca de Córdoba is unknown , although it is speculated that it was built in the 17th century. It was used as a lazaretto until the 19th century. Already in the 20th century, during the Spanish Civil War, it was abandoned. The front line was fixed very close in December 1936, when the national side took Villafranca de Córdoba, leaving the neighboring town of Adamuz in the hands of the republican side.

Finally, the Mojoneras bunker, located on the so-called Cerro del Tabaco, was built by the national side after the aforementioned takeover of Villafranca de Córdoba, on the front line that separated this town from Adamuz , more to the north. It was the scene of intense fighting in 1937 and 1938. In the video you can also see some vestiges of the old trench system that was built in the area.

Spain is a country with an enormous historical and architectural heritage, and like other countries in this situation, it is also very rich in ruins.

[19536,16877
16673,19099,913,19098,19097,11462,19093
post-51293","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-we-said-yesterday","category-ruins","tag-andalusia","tag-bunker-of-las-mojoneras","tag-cordoba","tag-hermitage-of-calvario-of-villafranca-de-cordoba","tag-isabela-castle","tag-spain","tag-villafranca-de-cordoba
["GET
