After the deliveries of modern tanks of various types to Ukraine, little by little we are already seeing them in the area of \u200b\u200boperations.<\/p>\n

The details that will allow distinguishing the Leopard 2A4s donated by Spain to Ukraine<\/a><\/rel>
\nThe more than 700 tanks donated to Ukraine by other countries: their numbers and models<\/a><\/rel><\/p>\n

Yesterday, Ukrainian photographer Serhiy Mykhalchuk posted an excellent series of photos<\/a> on your Instagram account. The images show Leopard 2 main battle tanks in Ukraine, specifically the A4 variant<\/strong>. The photos appear to have been taken very recently.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The author of the photographs has not offered any information about where they were taken. The images show at least three different tanks.<\/strong><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Two months ago we saw here some details<\/a> that can help us to distinguish the origin of the Leopard 2A4 donated to Ukraine. Let's remember that there are five countries that have delivered tanks of this variant: Canada, Spain, Finland, Norway and Poland.<\/strong><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The published images, taken at dusk and dusk and in a dusty environment that somewhat masks the characteristics of the tanks, do not make identification much easier. However, almost all but one of the tanks in the images do not appear to have any additional baskets on the back of their turrets<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

This data is very significant because the Canadian, Finnish and Norwegian tanks do have baskets or complementary compartments in that part of the turret. Thus, the tanks could be of Spanish or Polish origin, except for one of them.<\/strong><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

As we saw two months ago, the distinguishing characteristic of the tanks donated by Spain and Poland is the paint.<\/strong> Poland delivered its tanks to Ukraine with the three-tone NATO camouflage used by the Polish Army. However, Spain delivered its tanks completely painted in olive green.<\/a><\/p>\n

In the photos it is not easy to distinguish the paint that these tanks have. There are only a couple of images where the paint on these tanks can be distinguished more or less clearly.<\/strong><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The photo in which the paint of the tank is best appreciated is the one you see on these lines.<\/strong> The tank in the photo wears NATO camouflage in three colors (green, brown and black). This would be one of the Leopard 2A4s delivered by Poland three months ago today<\/a>.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The exception in this series of photos is the tank flying the red and black flag<\/strong>, a very common banner of Ukrainian nationalism. This tank does seem to have a basket on the back of its turret. Clarifying the photo on these lines a bit, this tank seems to be one of those delivered by Canada.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Soon we will be able to see how the Ukrainian Army puts these tanks to use.<\/strong> I wish their crews the best in defending their Homeland against the Russian invaders.<\/p>\n
