The celebrations of the Day of the Armed Forces of Spain have begun today with an aeronaval parade carried out in Motril (Granada).<\/p>\n

Activities scheduled in Spain on the occasion of Armed Forces Day 2023<\/a><\/rel>
\nA review of some of the novelties of the Spanish Armed Forces at FEINDEF 23<\/a><\/rel><\/p>\n

This aeronaval parade has been chaired by H.M. King Felipe VI<\/strong> aboard the Maritime Action Ship \"Furor\" P-46<\/strong>. Before him paraded the aircraft carrier \"Juan Carlos I\"<\/strong> L-61, the amphibious assault ships \"Galicia\"<\/strong> L-51 and \"Castilla\"<\/strong> L-52, the frigates \"Almirante Juan De Borb\u00f3n\"<\/strong> F-102, \"Crist\u00f3bal Col\u00f3n\"<\/strong> F-105, \"Santa Mar\u00eda\"<\/strong> F\u201081, \"Victoria\"<\/strong> F-82 and \"Canarias\"<\/strong> F-86, the minesweepers \"Sella\"<\/strong> M-32 and \"Tambre\"<\/strong> M-33, all of them from the Spanish Navy, and the ocean-going vessels \"R\u00edo Segura\"<\/strong> and \"R\u00edo Arlanza\"<\/strong> of the Maritime Service of the civil Guard.<\/p>\n

Likewise, in the aeronaval parade we have been able to see an EC-665 Tigre<\/strong> attack helicopter and a CH-47 Chinook<\/strong> heavy transport helicopter from the Spanish Army Air Mobile Forces (FAMET); EAB-8B+ Harrier II Plus<\/strong> fighters and SH-60B and SH-60F Seahawk<\/strong> helicopters from the Navy Aircraft Flotilla (FLOAN); Eurofighter Typhoon<\/strong> fighters, maritime surveillance aircraft CN\u2010235 VIGMA<\/strong> and NH-90 Lobo<\/strong> and Sikorsky S-76<\/strong> helicopters of the Spanish Air Force; and a CN-235<\/strong> plane and AS-365 Dauphin and EC-135<\/strong> helicopters from the Civil Guard Air Service.<\/p>\n

Next, Felipe VI went to Poniente Beach, where an exhibition took place with the Parachute Aerobatic Patrol (PAPEA)<\/strong> and the Patrulla Aspa<\/strong> of the Spanish Air Force, different units of the Civil Guard<\/strong> (both from its Maritime Service and the Air Service and the Special Intervention Unit, UEI); Leopard 2E main battle tanks of the Armored Regiment \"C\u00f3rdoba\" no. 10<\/strong>, ASCOD Pizarro infantry combat vehicles of the Infantry Regiment \"La Reina\" no. 2<\/strong> and VAMTACs ST-5 of the X Sapper Battalion<\/strong>, units belonging to the Brigade \"Guzm\u00e1n el Bueno\" X of the Spanish Army.<\/p>\n

Finally, the Tercio de Armada has made an amphibious demonstration<\/strong> with troops and mechanized means, with the support of the Harrier II of the 9th Navy Squadron. You can see here a series of photos of these acts published by the Ministry of Defense<\/a> and the Royal House<\/a> .<\/p>\n
