Two months have passed since the announcement by Russia that it is sending its most modern tanks, the T-14 Armata, to the front lines in Ukraine.<\/p>\n

The T-14 has been presented by Russian propaganda as the best tank in the world. However, as we have already seen here, its production is being slower than expected<\/a>. In addition to the problems with the supply of electronic components<\/strong> due to Western sanctions against Russia for the invasion of Ukraine, the Armata would also have engine problems<\/strong>, as he pointed out a few months ago a href=\"https:\/\/wavellroom.com\/2023\/02\/10\/armata-the-story-is-over\/\"\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">a comprehensive article on the Wavell Room<\/a> signed by Sergio Miller, former British intelligence officer.<\/p>\n

Two months after that announcement about the deployment of the Armata, published by the official Russian agency RIA Novosti on 25 April <\/a>, the advanced tank still does not appear from the front<\/strong>. In a war with unprecedented dissemination of events through social networks, neither Russian nor Ukrainian sources have shown images of the T-14 in action <\/strong>. The only thing that came out on April 25th were brief images of various T- 14<\/a> moving along a dirt road, but without any evidence that they were filmed in Ukraine <\/strong>. It is possible that they were taken during maneuvers.<\/p>\n

While we still don't see the T-14 in action, Russia continues to send obsolete tanks from the 1950s to the front lines<\/strong>. This Thursday, the War Zone channel posted a video<\/a> and a series of photos<\/a> of T-55 tanks in Crimea<\/strong>, a region of Ukraine illegally occupied by Russia since 2014. The pictures show those old tanks being sent by train to the front, en route to Zaporizhzhia<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
