For the design of this new tower, they contracted with <strong>the architect Karmo T\u00f5ra, from Tallinn<\/strong>, who had a very original idea.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/53063454097_6b942e801d_b.jpg\" style=\"width:100%; height:auto; border:0px;\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>T\u00f5ra devised a tower with a steel structure<\/strong>, more solid than the old wooden watchtower, but which would have <strong>two large viewpoints in the shape of birds' nests<\/strong>: one located on the side of the tower, with capacity for 15 people, and another on the top, with capacity for 25 people.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/53064220864_db60e4b99d_b.jpg\" style=\"width:100%; height:auto; border:0px;\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>The new tower, called Pesapuu (nest tree, in Estonian), was inaugurated on October 10, 2016<\/strong>. It is higher than the old watchtower: it measures a total of 30 meters. It was built by the company Via Betoon Eesti O\u00dc thanks to funds from the European Union.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/53064220869_03252ebfaf_b.jpg\" style=\"width:100%; height:auto; border:0px;\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>The tower is open to the public all year round<\/strong>, and the two platforms are accessed via a spiral staircase located inside.
