However, \"Braveheart\" was not shot exclusively in Scotland, but some of its locations are in Ireland. We start with this <strong>mountain in the vicinity of Lanark, Scotland, an area where many scenes from the first part of the film were filmed<\/strong>, which shows Wallace's childhood and youth.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/53077224857_3776db00b6_b.jpg\" style=\"width:100%; height:auto; border:0px;\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>The churchyard of St Nicholas Church at Dunsany Castle, Ireland<\/strong>, an Anglo-Norman castle located in County Meath, in the province of Leinster, in the western part of the Republic of Ireland. The castle began to be built at the end of the 12th century, and the Church is from the mid-15th century. <strong>The wedding scene between Prince Edward of England and Princess Elizabeth of France was filmed there.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/53078297878_56b84e063e_b.jpg\" style=\"width:100%; height:auto; border:0px;\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Bective Abbey, also located in County Meath, Ireland<\/strong>. It was built in the 12th century and abandoned in the 16th century. <strong>Part of the London Palace scenes were filmed there<\/strong> and the dungeon where Wallace is locked up.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/53078208180_27e16c2009_b.jpg\" style=\"width:100%; height:auto; border:0px;\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Trim Castle, also in County Meath, Ireland<\/strong>. It is the largest castle in the Republic of Ireland.
