In 24 hours, as much rain fell as in almost a month, causing extensive damage throughout the country. After the disaster, <strong>NATO allied countries have sent air and ground military means to Slovenia<\/strong>, an aid that has also been joined by Serbia, leaving behind the old enmities between the two countries.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Spanish CH - 47 Chinook long lining in Slovenia\" width=\"665\" height=\"374\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/n7AL5IrK3Q4?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><strong>Spain sent 20 soldiers and a Boeing CH-47F Chinook heavy transport helicopter<\/strong> from the Transport Helicopter Battalion V (BHELTRA V) of the Army Air Mobile Forces. The aircraft sent, the HT.17-21A \/ ET-421 (you can see it on these lines in a video published by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/@SuperLS8\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Toma\u017e Jandrok<\/a>), is one of the Spanish CH-47Ds that have already been upgraded to the Foxtrot version.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/53121234634_343b859154_b.jpg\" style=\"width:100%; height:auto; border:0px;\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>This is the first foreign mission of one of the FAMET CH-47Fs<\/strong>, and Slovenia has welcomed its shipment with expressions of gratitude and admiration.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/53120344852_e94004b13f_b.jpg\" style=\"width:100%; height:auto; border:0px;\" \/><\/p>\n<p>A few days ago, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.delo.si\/magazin\/avtomobilno\/na-pomoc-tudi-orjaski-helikopterji\/\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">the Slovenian daily Delo highlighted<\/a> <strong>that the Spanish Chinook is the largest helicopter sent by an allied country<\/strong>, as it is slightly larger than the two CH-53s sent by Germany.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/53121440575_e3184f8231_b.jpg\" style=\"width:100%; height:auto; border:0px;\" \/><\/p>\n<p><em>\"Large helicopters are among the means of transport that Slovenia received from foreign aid to eliminate the consequences of the catastrophic floods. <strong>The most recognizable is the CH-47F chinook brought by the Spanish Army<\/strong>\"<\/em>, Gasper Boncelj noted.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/53121149214_99ae36d22d_b.jpg\" style=\"width:100%; height:auto; border:0px;\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Boncelj added: <em>\"The Chinook is a twin-rotor transport helicopter. It is named after the Chinook Indian tribe. <strong>It has a large rear loading ramp and three external cargo hooks.
