The iron fist of this plane is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.outono.net\/elentir\/2022\/12\/03\/this-is-how-the-gau-8-avenger-works-the-powerful-and-huge-rotary-cannon-of-the-a-10\/\">its enormous 30 mm GAU-8 Avenger rotary cannon<\/a>, which has a rate of fire of 3,900 rounds per minute.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/53181108070_bb34b42c0e_o.jpg\" style=\"width:100%; height:auto; border:0px;\" \/><\/p>\n<p>In mid-August the power of these aircraft could be seen in <strong>the Northern Strike 2023 exercise, carried out at the Steelgate firing range<\/strong> in Grayling, Michigan, by the USAF and the 127th Wing of the Michigan Air National Guard. It was probably used as an infantry target.
