One of the most spectacular private military museums in the US was inaugurated in 2020 in Dubois, Wyoming. This is the National Museum of Military Vehicles. It is a large museum with abundant contents: its surface area is almost 15,000 square meters and it exhibits almost 500 military vehicles, artillery pieces, boats and aircraft from different periods, from 1897 to the present.

The museum was the initiative of Dan and Cynthia Starks and expresses its purpose as follows: "To honor the service and sacrifice of our veterans and their families; To educate next generations on the history of American freedom; To preserve and share historic military vehicles."

The museum has three large galleries: the first, dedicated to General George C. Marshall, contains vehicles from World War II; the second, dedicated to General Lewis "Chesty" Puller, deals with the Korean and Vietnam wars; The third, dedicated to General George S. Patton, shows mechanized vehicles, with special emphasis on the First World War.

In addition, there is a section that displays more than 200 firearms, and outside you can see an M-48 battle tank next to the so-called Reflection Wall, "where several quotations remind visitors why we honor and thank our Veterans and their families for their service and sacrifice on behalf of the United States of America." Next to this wall the Old Glory and the flags of each of the branches of the US Armed Forces.

It must be said that the museum has a spectacular, impeccable and very careful presentation, something that is admirable in a public institution financed with state funds but is even more admirable in a private institution.
