A crowd of Spaniards demonstrated this afternoon in Madrid after Sanchez's announcement defending the amnesty<\/a> for the coup plotters.<\/p>\n

S\u00e1nchez's coup to the Constitution must have a massive response in the streets<\/a><\/rel>
\nThe S\u00e1nchez's betrayal of the rule of law and its effects: who will respect the laws?<\/a><\/rel><\/p>\n

The protest took place in the Plaza de Col\u00f3n (Columbus Square), one of the largest squares in Madrid, and the public attendance was overwhelming. According to the Government Delegation, about 100,000 people have demonstrated<\/a>. The demonstration was called by the DENAES Foundation and had the support of dozens of associations<\/a> and also Vox party<\/strong>. Unfortunately, the Popular Party did not attend.<\/p>\n

As happened six years ago in the demonstrations against the separatist coup of 2017, many protesters came with Spanish flags and shouts of \"Puigdemont to prison\" were heard<\/strong>, in reference to the leader of that coup, who fled in Belgium and that made the amnesty a demand to support the re-election of Pedro S\u00e1nchez.<\/p>\n

During the protest, speeches by Andrea Llopart, vice president of the S'ha Acabat association, were heard; Juan Carlos Girauta<\/strong>, co-founder of Pie en Pared; Rodrigo Alonso<\/strong>, general secretary of the Solidaridad union; Santiago Abascal<\/strong>, president of Vox party; Samuel V\u00e1zquez<\/strong>, president of the association \"Una polic\u00eda para el siglo XXI\"; C\u00e9sar Pintado<\/strong>, spokesperson for the Revuelta association; the journalist Luis del Pino<\/strong> and Iv\u00e1n V\u00e9lez<\/strong>, director of the DENAES Foundation.<\/p>\n

In his speech, Abascal denounced that \"today Spain, its unity, its coexistence<\/strong>, its laws and the freedoms and equality of Spanish citizens are threatened by the general secretary of the Socialist Party<\/strong> and for the unanimous applause of the federal committee of the PSOE\"<\/em>, in reference to the scene that took place yesterday in the socialist leadership<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Abascal has described S\u00e1nchez as the \"most corrupt president in the history of Spain\"<\/em><\/strong>, denouncing that \"he intends to amnesty other politicians in exchange for votes to remain in office.\" power\"<\/em>. The president of Vox has stated: \"we warn you of the consequences of considering the Constitution, the laws and the equality of the Spanish people broken.
