Santiago Abascal, national president of Vox, today announced a new series of measures against the amnesty announced by S\u00e1nchez<\/a>.<\/p>\n

ERC's support for S\u00e1nchez will cost 400 euros on average for each inhabitant of the rest of Spain<\/a><\/rel>
\nMore than 1,300 judges in Spain denounce that S\u00e1nchez's amnesty means \u201cblowing up the rule of law\u201d<\/a><\/rel><\/p>\n

New complaint against S\u00e1nchez and notice to the Congress and Senate Boards<\/big><\/p>\n

In a press conference held this afternoon at the national headquarters of Vox, Abascal has announced the presentation before the Supreme Court (TS) of a new complaint against Pedro S\u00e1nchez for a crime of bribery<\/strong>, as well as a complaint for prevarication against the members of the Board of Congress and the Senate who admit to processing a \"flagrantly unconstitutional\" law. In addition, Vox will send a letter to the presidency of the Congress and Senate<\/strong>\"warning of the unconstitutionality of the amnesty and asking, in this sense, that the initiative not be admitted for processing.\"<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

The crime of bribery is classified in Article 419 of the Penal Code and punishes the authority or public official<\/strong> who, \"for their own benefit or that of a third party, receives or requests, by themselves or by an intermediary, gift, favor or remuneration of any kind<\/strong> or accept an offer or promise to carry out in the exercise of his or her position an act contrary to the duties inherent therein.\"<\/em> This crime is punishable by a prison sentence of three to six years<\/strong>, a fine of twelve to twenty-four months and special disqualification for employment or public office and for the exercise of the right to passive suffrage for a period of nine to twelve years.<\/p>\n

In turn, the crime of prevarication would correspond in this case to what is typified in Article 404 of the Penal Code<\/strong>, which states the following: \"To the authority or public official who, knowingly of his injustice, dictates an arbitrary resolution in an administrative matter<\/strong> he will be punished with the penalty of special disqualification for employment or public office and for the exercise of the right to passive suffrage for a period of nine to fifteen years.\"<\/em><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Appeal for protection to the TC and actions in the autonomous governments<\/big><\/p>\n

In addition, the 33 Vox deputies in Congress will present appeals for protection before the Constitutional Court (TC)<\/strong>, \"requesting precautionary measures for not holding these plenary sessions\"<\/em>, according to Abascal. Likewise, Vox will ask in the Senate that \"in no way be the amnesty law<\/strong> processed once it arrives from the Congress of Deputies.\"<\/em><\/p>\n

On the other hand, the president of Vox has indicated that his party will request an extraordinary meeting in those autonomous governments of which it is a part to oppose the government's intentions<\/strong>, in reference to the amnesty law to erase the crimes committed by their separatist partners. Vox will request the holding of \"urgent plenary sessions in the regional parliaments to approve declarations of rejection of both the amnesty law<\/strong> and the forgiveness of the debt of the coup separatists\"<\/em> , Abascal pointed out.<\/p>\n

Complaint to the European Parliament<\/big><\/p>\n

Vox will also take its actions against the amnesty to the European Parliament<\/strong>, where this party will request an urgent debate to \"alert of the risks suffered by the rule of law<\/strong> in one of the nations that make up the European Union.\"<\/em><\/p>\n

Vox support for citizen protests<\/big><\/p>\n

Abascal has announced that \"we are going to oppose by all legitimate means the coup d'\u00e9tat of S\u00e1nchez and the Socialist Party.<\/strong> Because we are facing a blow to the rule of law, to the Constitution, to the principles on which the Constitution is based, and to the entire Nation made up of honest citizens who respect the laws.\"<\/em> Furthermore, Abascal has assured that \"we are going to support each and every one of the citizen mobilizations that are being called and will be called in the coming days<\/strong> in Barcelona during this week, which has been also called in Barcelona on November 12, and the one called in Madrid on November 18.\"<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cThe amnesty law is absolutely unconstitutional\u201d<\/big><\/p>\n

The president of Vox has also pointed out that \"the amnesty law is absolutely unconstitutional\"<\/em>, since it \"attacks article 14 of the Constitution<\/strong>, which guarantees equality of Spaniards before the law, and article 62<\/strong> -which expressly prohibits general pardons in our political system.\"<\/em><\/p>\n

Abascal has also declared that \"the government is saying that can be pardoned, that can become unpunished, with the amnesty law, that those who committed very serious crimes<\/strong>, with violent demonstrations, with devices arsonists and seeking the destruction of the Constitution and the Nation.\"<\/em> It is \"a very dangerous message that is sent to the nation as a whole, because if the law is not valid for the socialists or their accomplices, the law then is not valid for the Spanish people as a whole.<\/strong>\"<\/em><\/p>\n
