Former Vox deputy Iv\u00e1n Espinosa de los Monteros is one of the most lucid men who have gone through political life in Spain.<\/p>\n
Many of us miss him now that he has left parliamentary politics<\/strong>, although from time to time he continues to make publications on his Twitter account<\/a> (which I recommend you follow). This Tuesday, November 13, Iv\u00e1n gave an interview to the newspaper El Mundo <\/a> , the first he has granted since his retirement from the front line of politics. In the interview he says very sensible things, like when he explains the consequences of the perverse pact between socialists and separatists: <\/strong><\/p>\n \"The left-wing learns that lying is free, even profitable.<\/strong> Separatism learns that breaking the law, acting against the rule of law, challenging the nation, breaking the laws and laughing at judges also has a reward.\"<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n In the interview, Iv\u00e1n also has words of hope:<\/strong><\/p>\n \"I am convinced that Spain, a very strong country, will prevail despite S\u00e1nchez<\/strong>, who will go down in history as a historical disgrace, as one of the worst rulers since Fernando VII. The country, at a time of temporary mental alienation, brought a narcissistic psychopath without any restraint or respect for the institutions. I hope that this Government will not last very long and we Spaniards will recover common sense.<\/strong> But it must be very soon.\"<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n Iv\u00e1n also talks about the Monarchy and the Royal House<\/strong>, which unfortunately is not only the target of hatred from separatism and the left, but also from some people who have sneaked into the protests of these days to hurl insults at the King and his family<\/strong>, an attitude that is not supported by the vast majority of protesters. Iv\u00e1n believes that the Monarchy is not in danger: \"It is very consolidated in our society. It is a very beloved institution. One of the few that in recent years has not disappointed.<\/strong> It is in a moment of reinforcement for the role of Felipe VI and the hopeful future that Princess Leonor presents.\"<\/em><\/p>\n The interviewer, Fernando L\u00e1zaro<\/strong> (one of those few real journalists still left in Spain), also asks Iv\u00e1n: \"Do you think there should be a message from Royal House? <\/strong>\"<\/em> This is his response:<\/p>\n \"I think that demanding that of him would be putting him in a devilish position.<\/strong> Because what S\u00e1nchez wants most is that any type of movement can be created from Casa Real that serves to achieve his greatest ambition, to become president of a republic. Turning our gaze towards the King would be a mistake that the left is wanting us to make<\/strong>.\"<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n As in many other things, I fully agree with these words of Iv\u00e1n.<\/strong> In fact, I pointed it out here<\/a> in the last few hours, without much success, I have to confess it. Let's stop putting the focus on the King: we must put it on S\u00e1nchez and his allies<\/strong>, who are the authors of the coup, and we must unleash all our rejection on them.<\/p>\n ---<\/p>\n
