The United States Navy's Blue Angels, founded in 1946, are one of the best aerobatic patrols in the world.<\/p>\n

Currently equipped with six single-seat F\/A-18E Super Hornet fighters, two two-seat F\/A-18F Super Hornet and a C-130J Super Hercules transport aircraft<\/strong> (the latter nicknamed \"Fat Albert\" and which is operated by the Marine Corps), the Blue Angels are capable of seemingly impossible maneuvers, such as the Diamond 360<\/a>, in which four of its planes fly in a formation rhombus-shaped only 45 centimeters apart from each other<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

At the beginning of October, the Blue Angels participated in Fleet Week in San Francisco<\/strong>, making a large aerial display over its bay and over such famous sites as the Golden Gate Bridge and the famous prison of the Alcatraz island.
