A crime with a clear political background: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ecuadorenvivo.com\/index.php\/politica\/item\/155715-villavicencio-ventila-los-vinculos-del-narcotrafico-con-el-correismo\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">the murdered man had denounced the links of Rafael Correa's Citizen Revolution Movement with drug trafficking<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/redmas.com.co\/mundo\/Fernando-Villavicencio-habia-denunciado-vinculos-de-Rafael-Correa-con-las-Farc-y-Piedad-Cordoba-20230809-0051.html\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">with the narcoterrorists of the FARC<\/a>. Finally, in the presidential elections held last summer, <strong>the winner was Daniel Noboa, a center-right candidate, and the left was defeated<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The new president is acting with a heavy hand against drug trafficking, and in response organized crime has unleashed the wave of violence that Ecuador is experiencing. <strong> The current situation in the country has its origins in the mandate of Rafael Correa (2007-2017)<\/strong> and his like-minded successors. Correa, currently on the run abroad and accused of corruption charges, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.infobae.com\/america\/america-latina\/2022\/10\/26\/ex-vicepresidente-de-colombia-aseguro-que-las-farc-operaban-en-ecuador-bajo-la-autorizacion-de-rafael-correa\/\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">allowed the Colombian communist terrorists of the FARC to operate in Ecuador<\/a>, and in exchange <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reuters.com\/article\/idUSMAE56H029\/\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">the FARC came to finance Correa's political career<\/a>, turning Ecuador into a narco-state.<\/p>\n<p><big>The ties between the left and drug trafficking in other countries<\/big><\/p>\n<p>Ecuador is not the only similar case in Latin America. <strong>Other leftist regimes have also promoted drug trafficking:<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.infobae.com\/america\/opinion\/2022\/01\/31\/del-narcotrafico-como-arma-antiimperialista-a-los-narcoestados-dictatoriales-de-las-americas\/\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">communism in Cuba<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.infobae.com\/venezuela\/2023\/11\/07\/un-informe-revelo-como-el-regimen-de-maduro-hizo-del-narcotrafico-su-principal-fuente-de-financiamiento\/\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">its allies of Bolivarian socialism in Venezuela<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.divergentes.com\/academicos-nicaragua-narcoestado-complicidad-regimen\/\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Sandinist communism in Nicaragua<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dw.com\/es\/por-qu%C3%A9-amlo-y-morena-simpatizan-m%C3%A1s-con-los-narcos-que-con-los-ciudadanos-que-ejercen-el-derecho-a-disentir\/a-63781155\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">AMLO's left in Mexico<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/elfaro.net\/es\/201604\/el_salvador\/18337\/Vicepresidente-de-El-Salvador-es-socio-del-presunto-l%C3%ADder-del-C%C3%A1rtel-de-Texis.htm\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">FMLN communism in El Salvador<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eldebate.com\/internacional\/20230310\/historia-crimen-organizado-rosario-tres-fernandez-poder-argentina_99524.html\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">the Peronist left in Argentina<\/a>, all of them degrading their respective countries and plunging them into misery. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.outono.net\/elentir\/2023\/08\/04\/the-communist-gustavo-petro-drug-trafficking-and-the-applause-from-which-only-vox-distanced-itself\/\">The links of the communist Gustavo Petro with drug trafficking<\/a> could take Colombia down the same path.<\/p>\n<p>These <strong>ties between the left and drug trafficking<\/strong> have been growing in a dangerous spiral that millions of people are already suffering from: <strong>leftist regimes tolerate drug trafficking and benefit from it<\/strong>, obtaining a means of illicit enrichment for its elites; <strong>narcos control society<\/strong>, often becoming entangled in the very structures of the State and <strong>financing the electoral campaigns of leftist candidates<\/strong> (where there are still free elections: this is not the case of Cuba and Venezuela), and the circle begins again.<\/p>\n<p><big>The war on drug trafficking in El Salvador, Ecuador and Argentina<\/big><\/p>\n<p>Is it possible to get out of that spiral? Yes. But it's not easy. <strong>Confronting organized crime requires a tough hand<\/strong>. This is what Nayib Bukele in El Salvador, Daniel Noboa in Ecuador (who has had to mobilize the Armed Forces against criminals) and <a href=\"\"https:\/\/gaceta.es\/iberosfera\/el-gobierno-de-milei-le-declara-la-guerra-al-narcotrafico-y-al-crimen-20231219-1711\/\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Javier Milei in Argentina<\/a>. What others have ruined for years now requires very firm politicians to not bow down to <strong>the blackmail of organized crime, which wants to be able to thrive again in leftist regimes<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><big>A problem that looms over Spain through mass immigration<\/big><\/p>\n<p>This serious problem could spread to Europe, and specifically to Spain, thanks to drug trafficking and mass immigration. <a href=\"https:\/\/es.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Inmigraci%C3%B3n_ecuatoriana_en_Espa%C3%B1a\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">In Spain there are already more than 400,000 immigrants from Ecuador. <\/a> <strong>Many of them are people who lead an honest life and accept the most humble jobs.<\/strong> They do not deserve to be stigmatized because of their origin.<\/p>\n<p>However, criminals of all kinds have arrived among them and among people from other Latin American countries. Currently, <a href=\"https:\/\/bandaslatinas.com\/informe\/iii-observatorio-bandas-latinas-espana\/\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">the problem of the so-called \"Latin bands\" is going on increase in Spain<\/a>, at the same time as the degree of violence they use and their progressive transformation into forms of organized crime, linked to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.elmundo.es\/madrid\/2023\/11\/23\/655e35cfe85ecec7268b45b0.html\"\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">illegal businesses such as drug trafficking<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cronicabalear.es\/2022\/las-bandas-latinas-en-espana-menores-prostitucion-y-pruebas-iniciaticas\/\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">prostitution<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><big>A dangerous cocktail of a weak government allied with the far-left<\/big><\/p>\n<p>In Spain there is another ingredient for this to give rise to a dangerous cocktail: <strong>a government supported by extreme left parties that are allies of the dictatorships of Cuba and Venezuela<\/strong>, that is, of regimes that live off drug trafficking. It is also about <a href=\"https:\/\/www.outono.net\/elentir\/2024\/01\/09\/sanchez-has-put-spain-in-the-hands-of-a-totalitarian-who-dreams-of-a-dictatorship\/\">a weak government that allows itself to be bossed around by criminals<\/a>, even at the cost of seriously endangering the rule of law in Spain. It is also about <a href=\"https:\/\/www.psoe.es\/actualidad\/noticias-actualidad\/pedro-sanchez-espana-es-un-pais-solidario-y-el-psoe-lo-hara-realidad-liderando-en-europa-una-politica-comun-de-asilo-migracion-y-refugiados--123800\/\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">a government that intends to open our doors to all world<\/a>, instead of putting a stop to illegal immigration and the serious social and insecurity problems it generates. <strong>With these ingredients, Spain has every chance to become the Ecuador of Europe.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>---<\/p>\n<p><small>Photo: Efe.
