A corruption case regarding irregular allocations of masks<\/big><\/p>\n That's what the Koldo Case<\/strong> is about, which already affects several ministers<\/a> and could make Pedro S\u00e1nchez's cabinet falter, since in that case they are people of the maximum confidence of the president of the government were involved<\/strong>, so the version that S\u00e1nchez knew nothing and has no responsibility for what those people did is unacceptable. March 31 of that year<\/strong> the government approved Law 2\/2021<\/a>, whose Article 6 imposed the use of masks<\/strong> on \"people six years of age and older\" in \"the public roads, in open-air spaces<\/strong> and in any closed space for public use or that is open to the public.\"<\/em> That law mandated wearing a mask outdoors although not There was no one within hundreds of meters around.<\/strong><\/p>\n An absurd measure that ignored the published indications of the WHO<\/big><\/p>\n Beyond the fact that the measure was contrary to common sense<\/strong> (what risk of contagion could there be when a person is alone outside?), that rule was disregarded<\/strong> the indications published by the World Health Organization (WHO) on December 1, 2020<\/a>, which stated the following (attention to the underlined part):<\/p>\n \"WHO advises that the general public use hygienic masks<\/strong> in closed environments (for example, shops, shared workplaces and schools; for more details see Table 2) or outdoors when the minimum physical distancing of 1 meter cannot be maintained<\/u><\/strong>.\"<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n Page 10 of that same WHO document indicated the criteria for the use of masks<\/strong> in cases of community or group transmission of the virus, indicating this in the circumstances column:<\/p>\n \"Outdoor environments<\/strong> where physical distancing cannot be maintained<\/u>.\"<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n S\u00e1nchez forced us to waste masks without any need<\/big><\/p>\n Disregarding these instructions from the WHO, S\u00e1nchez forced us Spaniards to use masks for months in environments where they were unnecessary<\/strong>, even if we were alone taking a walk on a beach or a mountain where There was no other person for miles around. That was a ridiculous measure that forced Spaniards to waste masks and allowed the government to continue awarding contracts for their purchase<\/strong>, as we see now, irregularly and benefiting people from their party.<\/p>\n The S\u00e1nchez government continued to ignore the WHO's instructions until the approval of Royal Decree-Law 13\/2021<\/a>, approved on June 24, 2021 (after numerous criticisms of the government<\/strong> for forcing the use of masks in unnecessary environments) and which came into effect two days later. This rule modified Article 6 of the aforementioned Law 2\/2021, leaving it as follows:<\/strong><\/p>\n \"In any outdoor space where, due to the crowding of people, it is not possible to maintain a minimum distance of 1.5 meters between them, except for groups of cohabitants.\"<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n After withdrawing that imposition, he imposed it again in December 2021<\/big><\/p>\n The controversy did not end there: in December of that year<\/strong> S\u00e1nchez once again imposed masks outdoors indiscriminately<\/a>, again ignoring the instructions of the WHO. The nonsense reached such a level that the measure was even criticized by parliamentary allies and journalists related to the government<\/a>.
