{"id":54964,"date":"2024-02-26T23:24:39","date_gmt":"2024-02-26T22:24:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.outono.net\/elentir\/?p=54964"},"modified":"2024-07-04T17:03:39","modified_gmt":"2024-07-04T15:03:39","slug":"a-museum-with-military-vehicles-from-the-wwii-and-the-cold-war-in-the-czech-city-of-rokycany","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.outono.net\/elentir\/2024\/02\/26\/a-museum-with-military-vehicles-from-the-wwii-and-the-cold-war-in-the-czech-city-of-rokycany\/","title":{"rendered":"A museum with military vehicles from the WWII and the Cold War in the Czech city of Rokycany"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The end of World War II came with the liberation of Czechoslovakia, until then occupied by Nazi Germany.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p><rel><a href=\"https:\/\/www.outono.net\/elentir\/2023\/03\/02\/air-park-zruc-a-winter-visit-to-an-aircraft-and-tank-museum-in-the-czech-republic\/\">Air Park Zru\u010d: a winter visit to an aircraft and tank museum in the Czech Republic<\/a><\/rel><\/p>\n<p>Czechoslovakia's dream of freedom was short-lived: <strong>the Communist Party carried out a coup d'\u00e9tat in 1948 and took power with the support of the USSR<\/strong>, for fear of the result of the elections called in the country for that year. <strong>A communist dictatorship then began that would fall in 1989.<\/strong> During those years, Czechoslovakia - which already had an important military industry before the war - <strong>continued to manufacture some German weapons that were made there during the years. of the occupation<\/strong>(including a Czech version of the Me-262 jet fighter).<\/p>\n<p>Subsequently, <strong>the army of communist Czechoslovakia adopted the characteristics of other armies of the Warsaw Pact<\/strong>, the rival organization to NATO created by the USSR in 1955. Today, that varied military history can be seen in the <a href=\"https:\/\/vojenskemuzeumrokycany.cz\/\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Demarcation Line Museum in Rokycany<\/a>, <strong>the largest military private museum in the Czech Republic<\/strong>, which displays vehicles from the Second World War and the Cold War, as well as some replicas of Nazi Germany tanks made on Soviet vehicles. <strong>You can see below some of the vehicles exhibited in this museum.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/53554543993_202ff4cb6e_b.jpg\" style=\"width:100%;
