This has made it the ideal solution for many countries that need an aircraft capable of operating on small and poorly prepared runways. Precisely for this reason, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.outono.net\/elentir\/2023\/05\/03\/c-41a-the-spanish-aircrafts-used-by-the-united-states-special-operations-forces\/\">among its operators is the United States Army Special Operations Command (USASOC)<\/a>, which names its C-212s as C-41A.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/53586892727_6f8b724a9b_b.jpg\" style=\"width:100%; height:auto; border:0px;\" \/><\/p>\n<p>On March 12, the multimedia portal of the US Armed Forces, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dvidshub.net\/image\/8283799\/operation-ice-camp-2024\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">DVIDShub.net, published a photo of a C-212 Aviocar<\/a> in one of the most remote places in which it has been photographed: the <a href=\"https:\/\/deadhorseaviationcenter.com\/\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Deadhorse Aviation Center<\/a>, <strong>in Prudhoe Bay, northern Alaska<\/strong>, on the shores of the Beaufort Sea, in the Arctic Ocean. In the photo we can see <strong>a CASA C-212-CD Aviocar at the door of the East Hangar of that airfield<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/53588206085_c32dc3dd40_h.jpg\" style=\"width:100%; height:auto; border:0px;\" \/><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dvidshub.net\/image\/8283678\/operation-ice-camp-2024\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">DVIDShub.net has published more photos of this plane<\/a> in recent days, on the occasion of <strong>a visit by the US Secretary of the Navy, Carlos Del Toro<\/strong> (on these lines we see him in the center of the photo, very well sheltered) to that town in Alaska, <strong>on the occasion of Ice Camp 2024 of the US Navy<\/strong>, <em>\"<strong>a three-week operation that allows the Navy to evaluate its operational readiness in the Arctic<\/strong>, increase expertise in the region, advance understanding of the Arctic environment and continue to develop relationships with other services, allies and partner organizations,\"<\/em> according to the US Navy.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/53587972843_073d2691df_b.jpg\" style=\"width:100%; height:auto; border:0px;\" \/><\/p>\n<p>These photos were taken by US Navy Specialist First Class Scott Barnes. In the image above we see <strong>the C-212-CD Aviocar in which the Secretary of the Navy has traveled<\/strong> (a unit with five-blade propellers) in the East Hangar of the Deadhorse Aviation Center.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/53586892762_f2f42c8cbb_h.jpg\" style=\"width:100%; height:auto; border:0px;\" \/><\/p>\n<p>In the photos released by the US Navy we see that <strong>this C-212-CD Aviocar has a US civilian registration: N309HG<\/strong>. This aircraft is operated by a private company, <a href=\"https:\/\/chiaviation.com\/\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">CHI Aviation<\/a>, based in Howell, Michigan, and which It has several C-212s in its fleet. This company's website defines this Spanish aircraft as follows: <em>\"<strong>The CASA 212 is a capable and extremely versatile aircraft specifically designed for maximum maneuverability at low speeds.<\/strong> The aircraft\u2019s wide, high wing, large cargo area, and wide rear ramp make the CASA 212 <strong>the ideal aircraft for skydiving, passenger and cargo transportation, and Short-Takeoff and Landing (STOL) operations<\/strong> in remote and austere environments utilizing unimproved runways.\"<\/em><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/53587972898_49e1780752_h.jpg\" style=\"width:100%; height:auto; border:0px;\" \/><\/p>\n<p>This Monday, March 11, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/constructionhelicopters\/posts\/pfbid02wX4djNUFExgNzwxdjfzeGjncoFKAbVEPqzE67NLTzUAPNKLRDWq2YK6TxvVZwSuMl\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">CHI Aviation published this photo of its C-212-CD at the Deadhorse Aviation Center<\/a>, a nice image in which we can see the northern lights over the cockpit of the plane.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/53587758491_ed53337fe7_o.jpg\" style=\"width:100%; height:auto; border:0px;\" \/><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/chiaviation.com\/aviation-services\/military-airlift-support\/\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">There are more photos of their C-212s<\/a> on CHI Aviation's website. Here we see one of them with four-bladed propellers.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/53587758471_52febd5dd1_o.jpg\" style=\"width:100%; height:auto; border:0px;\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Here we see <strong>another of CHI Aviation's Aviocares, the N604AR<\/strong>, a C-212-200 with a characteristic black painted drift that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.planespotters.net\/photo\/670595\/n604ar-ep-aviation-casa-c-212-200\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">it was seen in December 2015 at the Spanish airport of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria<\/a>.
