{"id":55452,"date":"2024-04-09T21:50:12","date_gmt":"2024-04-09T19:50:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.outono.net\/elentir\/?p=55452"},"modified":"2025-04-09T00:34:46","modified_gmt":"2025-04-08T22:34:46","slug":"images-of-the-deployment-in-spain-of-two-b-1b-lancer-strategic-bombers","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.outono.net\/elentir\/2024\/04\/09\/images-of-the-deployment-in-spain-of-two-b-1b-lancer-strategic-bombers\/","title":{"rendered":"Images of the deployment in Spain of two B-1B Lancer strategic bombers"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Recently, the United States Air Force (USAF) has carried out a deployment of several B-1B Lancer bombers to Europe.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p><rel><a href=\"https:\/\/www.outono.net\/elentir\/2023\/03\/11\/the-usaf-publishes-the-images-of-the-deployment-of-four-b-52-bombers-in-spain\/\">The USAF publishes the images of the deployment of four B-52 bombers in Spain<\/a><\/rel><br \/>\n<rel><a href=\"https:\/\/www.outono.net\/elentir\/2023\/07\/11\/a-close-up-tour-of-a-b-1b-lancer-nuclear-bomber-inside-and-out\/\">A close-up tour of a B-1B Lancer nuclear bomber inside and out<\/a><\/rel><\/p>\n<p>On March 24, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.usafe.af.mil\/News\/Press-Releases\/Display\/Article\/3716986\/b-1b-bombers-land-at-morn-as-part- of-bomber-task-force-24-2\/\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">the USAF published a statement on its website<\/a> noting the following: <em>\"<strong>Two U.S. Air Force B-1B Lancers<\/strong> assigned to the 7th Bomb Wing, Dyess Air Force Base, Texas, <strong>arrived at Mor\u00f3n Air Base, Spain, to begin the next phase of Bomber Task Force 24-2<\/strong>, March 24, 2024.\"<\/em><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/53643468065_21bccea9d7_b.jpg\" style=\"width:100%; height:auto; border:0px;\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The USAF noted that during this deployment, <em>\"bomber crews and support personnel <strong>will generate sorties out of Mor\u00f3n AB and operate alongside numerous Allies and partners to increase interoperability and assure security commitments<\/strong> across the United States European Command area of responsibility.\"<\/em><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/53643220393_d56b24fe73_b.jpg\" style=\"width:100%; height:auto; border:0px;\" \/><\/p>\n<p><em>\"<strong>The U.S. routinely demonstrates its commitment to NATO Allies and partners with BTF missions.<\/strong> Through these missions, U.S. Air Forces Europe \u2013 Air Forces Africa enables dynamic force employment in the European theater, <strong>providing strategic predictability and assurance for Allies and partners<\/strong> while contributing to deterrence by introducing greater operational unpredictability for potential adversaries\"<\/em>, the statement added.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/53642127552_ce50e9acc5_b.jpg\" style=\"width:100%; height:auto; border:0px;\" \/><\/p>\n<p>These deployments of US strategic bombers are common in Europe. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.outono.net\/elentir\/2023\/03\/11\/the-usaf-publishes-the-images-of-the-deployment-of-four-b-52-bombers-in-spain\/\">Last year several B-52s were deployed in Spain<\/a> during one of these BTF missions. Logically, <strong>Russian threats against NATO make these missions meaningful<\/strong>, since with them the US sends Moscow the message that it is willing to support its allies.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/53642127407_9949e6d138_b.jpg\" style=\"width:100%; height:auto; border:0px;\" \/><\/p>\n<p>In the last few hours, the multimedia portal <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dvidshub.net\/tags\/image\/lsge24\/page\/1\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">DVIDShubt.net<\/a > of the US Armed Forces has published <strong>several series of photos of the deployment of the B-1B Lancer in Spain<\/strong>, images that were taken between April 2 and 5 at the <strong>Mor\u00f3n Air Base (Seville)<\/strong>, a military installation built in 1941 and used jointly by Spain and the US under a bilateral agreement signed in 1988.
