{"id":55940,"date":"2024-05-21T04:57:58","date_gmt":"2024-05-21T02:57:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.outono.net\/elentir\/?p=55940"},"modified":"2024-05-26T21:47:26","modified_gmt":"2024-05-26T19:47:26","slug":"the-deployment-of-armored-vehicles-of-the-spanish-legion-by-train-from-ronda-to-zaragoza","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.outono.net\/elentir\/2024\/05\/21\/the-deployment-of-armored-vehicles-of-the-spanish-legion-by-train-from-ronda-to-zaragoza\/","title":{"rendered":"The deployment of armored vehicles of the Spanish Legion by train from Ronda to Zaragoza"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Spanish Army regularly uses the railway as a means of transporting materials and personnel.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p><rel><a href=\"https:\/\/www.outono.net\/elentir\/2024\/05\/07\/the-spanish-legion-shows-an-assault-exercise-using-drones-for-various-purposes\/\">The Spanish Legion shows an assault exercise using drones for various purposes<\/a><\/rel><br \/>\n<rel><a href=\"https:\/\/www.outono.net\/elentir\/2023\/04\/18\/the-boarding-in-train-of-more-than-100-armored-vehicles-of-the-spanish-army-in-madrid\/\">The boarding in train of more than 100 armored vehicles of the Spanish Army in Madrid<\/a><\/rel><\/p>\n<p>Yesterday <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/@CharryTVRonda\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">CharryTV Ronda<\/a> published an interesting video that shows <strong>one of those deployments in train for a Gamma exercise<\/strong> (as those carried out at a level equivalent to that of a regiment are known) <strong>by the Legion and from the Ronda station to Zaragoza<\/strong>, with destination to the National Training Center (CENAD) San Gregorio.<\/p>\n<p><strong>It has been many years since the legionary units of Ronda were deployed by train.<\/strong> The Montejaque Barracks in that town in Malaga serves as the base for the <strong>Tercio \"Alejandro Farnesio\" 4th of the Legion<\/strong> (formed by a single battalion-type unit, the X Bandera \"Mill\u00e1n Astray\") and the <strong>Armored Light Cavalry Group \"Reyes Cat\u00f3licos\" II<\/strong> (GCLAC II).<\/p>\n<p>In the video we can see <strong>the loading of 36 vehicles<\/strong>, 29 from GCLAC II and 7 from X Bandera. We can see VEC M-1 and VRC Centauro cavalry vehicles, BMR-600 armored transport vehicles and VAMTAC ST-5 tactical vehicles. In the first we see <strong>two Centauro cavalry reconnaissance vehicles on PMM platform cars<\/strong> of the RPEI 12.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/53735530191_b859d2061d_b.jpg\" style=\"width:100%; height:auto; border:0px;\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Below these lines we can see <strong>a RPEI 12 passenger car, the Z-118.002<\/strong> (50 71 03-78 004-9), with the characteristic olive green color of this railway equipment of the Spanish Army. <\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/53734599952_20ecd9fed2_b.jpg\" style=\"width:100%; height:auto; border:0px;\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>This car is of the Bc10x-9.600 type, purchased by Renfe in 1984<\/strong> and later sold to the Ministry of Defense, it has 10 departments with 8 seats each, which can be converted into 6 bunk beds, according to the report. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.listadotren.es\/carac\/fichadatos.php?id=154\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">listadotren.es<\/a>.
