The first and largest of these two backpacks is <strong>the \"USMC Pack\"<\/strong>, also known as the \"Main Pack\". It is a modular backpack in coyote color (a derivative of brown), whose purpose is to cover 72-hour operations. <strong>It has a load capacity of up to 3,400 cubic inches (about 55 liters) and can weigh about 54 kg<\/strong>. Additional compartments can be added to this backpack.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/53739832378_87519b3d41_h.jpg\" style=\"width:100%; height:auto; border:0px;\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Additionally, <strong>the Marines have a smaller backpack, the \"Assault Pack\"<\/strong>, for operations lasting between 24 and 48 hours. Also in coyote color, it has a capacity of 1,482 cubic inches (about 24 liters).
