It is always a joy and an honor to have our Polish allies in Spain, in this case in the autonomous city of Ceuta.<\/p>\n

Honors to Corporal Palacios of the Spanish Army who died in an exercise in Poland<\/a><\/rel>
\n\u201cCze\u015b\u0107 jego pami\u0119ci!\u201d Poland dedicates the tribute to its Fallen to a Spanish soldier<\/a><\/rel><\/p>\n

This Spanish city in North Africa received on June 29 the ORP Wodnik training ship of the Polish Navy, a 72-meter-long ship launched in 1975. The ship had 128 sailors on board, including 4 midshipmen of the Ukrainian Navy.<\/strong><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

On June 30, ORP Wodnik held a solemn raising of the Polish Flag on board the ship<\/strong>, presided over by its commander, Lieutenant Rafa\u0142 Pr\u0119tnik, and in which the Defense Attach\u00e9 participated of the Polish Embassy in Spain, Commander Dorota Stachura, and the Commander of the Navy in Ceuta, Captain Mill\u00e1n Leira.<\/p>\n

That same day, ORP Wodnik crew members participated in the events of the 113th anniversary of the Regular Forces of the Spanish Army<\/strong>, in the quartering of the Ceuta Regular Group No. 54 (GREC 54).<\/p>\n

In addition to the usual formal events that take place on the occasion of a visit like this, on July 1, ORP Wodnik crew members visited the Santa Catalina Cemetery<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

There, Polish sailors paid tribute to Corporal Billye Germ\u00e1n Palacios Aguilar<\/strong>, member of Tabor I of GREC 54, died on April 22 in a military exercise in Poland<\/a>. I suppose this explains the visit of this Polish ship to that Spanish city.<\/p>\n
