{"id":56508,"date":"2024-07-13T21:33:34","date_gmt":"2024-07-13T19:33:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.outono.net\/elentir\/?p=56508"},"modified":"2025-07-13T00:12:16","modified_gmt":"2025-07-12T22:12:16","slug":"a-spectacular-air-naval-exhibition-of-the-spanish-navy-in-vigo-in-images","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.outono.net\/elentir\/2024\/07\/13\/a-spectacular-air-naval-exhibition-of-the-spanish-navy-in-vigo-in-images\/","title":{"rendered":"A spectacular air-naval exhibition of the Spanish Navy in Vigo in images"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This Friday, July 12, Samil beach, in Vigo, was the scene of a fabulous aeronaval exhibition by the Spanish Navy.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p><rel><a href=\"https:\/\/www.outono.net\/elentir\/2024\/07\/12\/images-of-the-hangars-of-the-spanish-lhd-juan-carlos-i-l-61-at-maximum-capacity\/\">Images of the hangars of the Spanish LHD 'Juan Carlos I' L-61 at maximum capacity<\/a><\/rel><br \/>\n<rel><a href=\"https:\/\/www.outono.net\/elentir\/2024\/05\/01\/nato-highlights-and-shows-the-air-power-of-the-spanish-aircraft-carrier-juan-carlos-i\/\">NATO highlights and shows the 'air power' of the Spanish aircraft carrier 'Juan Carlos I'<\/a><\/rel><\/p>\n<p><strong>The exhibition was carried out by the Expeditionary Combat Group \"Daedalus\" 24<\/strong>, on its last stop before returning to its bases. <strong>The aircraft carrier \"Juan Carlos I\" L-61<\/strong> was located in the shelter of the C\u00edes Islands, deploying two LCM-1E landing craft, two <strong>EAV-8B+ Harrier II<\/strong > from the 9th Squadron and an <strong>AB-212<\/strong> helicopter from the 3rd Squadron.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/53853479072_2171dcc437_b.jpg\" style=\"width:100%; height:auto; border:0px;\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, <strong>the frigate \"Blas de Lezo\" F-103<\/strong>, sailing near the northern mouth of the R\u00eda de Vigo, deployed an <strong>SH-60B Seahawk<\/strong> helicopter from the 10th Squadron. From the transatlantic dock in the port of Vigo, <strong>the amphibious assault ship \"Galicia\" L-51<\/strong> deployed two other LCM-1E landing craft and several assault craft from the Tercio de Armada.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/53854366861_f5a4f669a9_b.jpg\" style=\"width:100%; height:auto; border:0px;\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>The assault on the beach was carried out by soldiers from the Tercio de Armada.<\/strong> Some comrades were waiting for them on the beach entrenched in the sand, acting as an opposition force. <strong>On the promenade and in the Samil sandy area, thousands of people followed this exhibition<\/strong> amidst applause and expressions of astonishment. The Navy has it in reserve in case a landing craft becomes stranded.
