{"id":56954,"date":"2024-08-31T06:57:53","date_gmt":"2024-08-31T04:57:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.outono.net\/elentir\/?p=56954"},"modified":"2025-08-31T00:21:01","modified_gmt":"2025-08-30T22:21:01","slug":"brazil-and-the-probability-that-by-voting-for-a-socialist-you-support-a-future-dictator","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.outono.net\/elentir\/2024\/08\/31\/brazil-and-the-probability-that-by-voting-for-a-socialist-you-support-a-future-dictator\/","title":{"rendered":"Brazil and the probability that by voting for a socialist you support a future dictator"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This week, Brazil officially joined the ever-growing list of countries that deserve to be labeled a dictatorship.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p><rel><a href=\"https:\/\/www.outono.net\/elentir\/2024\/04\/08\/elon-musk-and-his-defense-of-freedom-against-leftist-censorship-in-brazil\/\">Elon Musk and his defense of freedom against leftist censorship in Brazil<\/a><\/rel><br \/>\n<rel><a href=\"https:\/\/www.outono.net\/elentir\/2021\/04\/12\/communist-dictatorships-established-in-the-world-from-1917-to-the-present\/\">Communist dictatorships established in the world from 1917 to the present<\/a><\/rel><\/p>\n<p>Brazil has taken this step by <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/GlobalAffairs\/status\/1829296715989414281\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">blocking access to Twitter in that country<\/a>, simply because the social network has refused to comply <a href=\"https:\/\/www.outono.net\/elentir\/2024\/04\/08\/elon-musk-and-his-defense-of-freedom-against-leftist-censorship-in-brazil\/\">with the blatantly illegal orders of a judge, Alexandre de Moraes<\/a>, to censor users of that network who have not committed any crimes. Coincidentally, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.outono.net\/elentir\/2023\/04\/07\/lula-another-left-extremist-who-pretends-to-be-equidistant-but-does-putin-a-favor\/\">Brazil is governed by a left-wing extremist, Luiz In\u00e1cio Lula da Silva<\/a>, and <strong>Judge De Moraes is a socialist who was Minister of Justice between 2016 and 2017<\/strong>, during the mandate of leftist President Michel Temer.<\/p>\n<p>It is curious that there is very little reflection on <strong>the ideology of the dictatorships that exist in the world today<\/strong>. If we leave aside the Islamist dictatorships, which are quite a few, we find this <strong>list of socialist and communist dictatorships and their population:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Angola:<\/strong> 35.5 million inhabitants.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Belarus:<\/strong> 9.2 million inhabitants.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Brazil:<\/strong> 215.3 million inhabitants.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Bolivia:<\/strong> 12.2 million inhabitants<\/li>\n<li><strong>Communist China:<\/strong> 1,412 million inhabitants.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Cuba:<\/strong> 11.2 million inhabitants.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Djibouti:<\/strong> 1.1 million inhabitants.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Eritrea:<\/strong> 3.6 million inhabitants.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Laos:<\/strong> 7.5 million inhabitants.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Mozambique:<\/strong> 32.9 million inhabitants.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Nicaragua:<\/strong> 6.9 million inhabitants.<\/li>\n<li><strong>North Korea:<\/strong> 26 million inhabitants.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Russia:<\/strong> 144 million inhabitants. Regarding its ideology, I refer to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.outono.net\/elentir\/2021\/01\/29\/putin-comes-to-the-rescue-of-communism-he-wants-to-ban-equating-the-ussr-with-nazism\/\">what I already pointed out here<\/a> in 2021.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Syria:<\/strong> 22.13 million inhabitants.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Transnistria:<\/strong> 465,200 inhabitants. It is the part of Moldova under Russian military occupation.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Venezuela:<\/strong> 28.3 million inhabitants.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Vietnam:<\/strong> 98 million inhabitants.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Zimbabwe:<\/strong> 16.3 millones de habitantes.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Thus, <strong>2,082.59 million human beings live under authoritarian regimes with socialist or communist ideology<\/strong>. If we take into account that there are 8,045 million people in the world, we have that <strong>25.88% of humanity lives under left-wing dictatorships<\/strong>.
