However, I can say that <strong>a thunderstorm in the mountains is a radically inadvisable experience<\/strong>, and I say this because I was once surprised by one. However, there are people who love strong emotions and who have <strong>the opportunity to experience something like this from a safe place<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<div class=\"foto_piedefoto\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/54013179057_30cc4a6116_b.jpg\" style=\"width:100%; height:auto; border:0px;\" \/><\/div>\n<div class=\"piedefoto\">Blackhall Mountain Lookout (Photo: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fs.usda.gov\/recarea\/mbr\/recarea\/?recid=84674\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">U.S. Forest Service<\/a>).<\/div>\n<p><strong>This is the case of a family from the United States who went to the Blackhall Mountain lookout point,<\/strong> located at 3,300 meters in the Sierra Madre mountain range (Wyoming). It is a forest surveillance post built in 1963 and can accommodate four people. Since it is not used all year round, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fs.usda.gov\/recarea\/mbr\/recarea\/?recid=84674\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">the US Forest Service offers it as accommodation<\/a> and does so with this text: <em>\"Don\u2019t miss <strong>the beautiful Wyoming sunrises and sunsets and an occasional lightning storm<\/strong> from the wrap-around catwalk offering 360-degree views!\"<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>This family posted their experience a few days ago<\/strong> on the YouTube channel <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/@TinyCabinLife\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Tiny Cabin Life<\/a>:<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Braving a Thunderstorm in Mountain Top Cabin! 11,000 Feet\" width=\"665\" height=\"374\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/oDOOvFjiwl0?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>You can see some screenshots from this video here. Here you can see <strong>the impressive landscape surrounding this viewpoint<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/54014512315_398a8c50ac_b.jpg\" style=\"width:100%; height:auto; border:0px;\" \/><\/p>\n<p>As the Forest Service says, <strong>the sun gates are very beautiful<\/strong> (although I personally miss an estuary like the one in Vigo for them to be perfect).<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/54013179027_0de875af75_b.jpg\" style=\"width:100%; height:auto; border:0px;\" \/><\/p>\n<p>It must be said that <strong>this tower is specially prepared to withstand storms<\/strong>, since this is an area with many thunderstorms.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/54014087166_6e5a29d158_b.jpg\" style=\"width:100%; height:auto; border:0px;\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>This is how the thunderstorm that the family saw started.<\/strong> You can see it in the video. I can imagine what would happen if I took <a href=\"https:\/\/www.outono.net\/elentir\/tag\/osito-bilbo\/\">my teddy bear Bilbo<\/a> to a place like this to see a storm: he would spend the whole time hiding under his blanket (he is a very scared bear).<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/54013178997_5822756636_b.jpg\" style=\"width:100%; height:auto; border:0px;\" \/><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Thunderstorms are natural phenomena that have always fascinated me.
