For such a thing alone, Israel would have the right to declare war on Lebanon, with all the consequences. Despite this, the Israeli attacks have been very precise and have managed to decapitate the Hezbollah leadership in 10 days. No other army goes to such lengths as the Israel Defense Forces to avoid civilian casualties.

What El País also fails to mention is that Hezbollah uses civilians as human shields, just like Hamas, by locating its facilities in civilian residential areas. That is indeed a war crime, but the socialist daily does not even mention it.

El País avoids referring to Hezbollah as a 'terrorist'

Furthermore, El País describes Hezbollah as a "militia-party" and refers to its terrorists as "militiamen." The socialist daily also forgets to mention that Hezbollah is designated a terrorist organization by the European Union, the United States, and Canada.

US 'eliminated' Bin Laden but Israel 'murdered' Nasrallah, according to El País

The double standard when it comes to talking about deaths is a constant in the history of this newspaper. In 2011, El País headlined: "The United States kills Osama Bin Laden". It then stated that the US "eliminated" the "Saudi terrorist." The difference in treatment is evident, perhaps because Obama was governing in the US at the time and El País supported him?

El País did not classify the murder of 12 children by Hezbollah as 'murder'

On the other hand, on July 27, El País did not use the word "murder" but "attack" to refer to the murder of 12 children by Hezbollah. The socialist newspaper used the verb "kill" and not "assassinate" to refer to this crime, and began the text of its news by absolving Hezbollah of responsibility, again forgetting that it is a terrorist organization: "The Lebanese party-militia Hezbollah denies responsibility."

The common denominator between El País and Hezbollah: Qatar

El Pais’s blatant lies and manipulations against Israel should come as no surprise to anyone. As I pointed out a few days ago, one of PRISA’s main shareholders is a relative of the Emir of Qatar, a country that finances Hezbollah terrorists. Both Hezbollah and Qatar are united by a fanatical hatred against Israel in particular and against Jews. In fact, the Qatari channel Al Jazeera openly displays its antisemitism. PRISA's newspaper should be ashamed of having such a sponsor, but to be ashamed you have to be ashamed.

Finally, it is alarming that a newspaper that is so manipulative and so blatantly takes sides against the only democracy in the Middle East is a media outlet very close to the socialist government of Pedro Sánchez, which El País supports against all odds. The fact that the Spanish government relies on a newspaper like that largely explains Sánchez's hostility towards Israel and its alignment with the allies of Palestinian terrorism, including Qatar, at the United Nations.

---

Photo: AFP.

PRISA’s newspaper has been blatantly biased against Israel for years, but lately it has been going beyond all limits of infamy.

[19536,10720
22787,13489,22347
post-57265","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-we-said-yesterday","category-communication","tag-hassan-nasrallah","tag-kataeb-hezbollah","tag-lebanon
