One of the most striking images is <strong>the destruction of the Chimney Rock Road by the overflowing of the Broad River<\/strong>. The hurricane and the rising river destroyed a bridge, the remains of which can be seen on the right in this image.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/54045061331_3b25f393d1_b.jpg\" style=\"width:100%; height:auto; border:0px;\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>A Lake Lure County Sheriff's vehicle was abandoned along the Broad River.<\/strong> A female officer was driving along the road when the vehicle was swept away by floodwaters.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/54045309363_bf74f40a23_b.jpg\" style=\"width:100%; height:auto; border:0px;\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>An old truck from the Chimney Rock Country Fair<\/strong>, a recreational area located 50 meters from the Broad River.
