As you know, this is a blog. That is to say, this is what many journalists would never consider a serious means of communication.<\/p>\n
The fact is that I have a rule here not to publish anonymous information or manifestos<\/strong>. I have received many in the 20 years of life of this blog, but I have not published any, for a simple reason: if I cannot verify information, what is the point of publishing it?<\/strong> I like readers of this blog to have access to the sources of information so that they do not have to rely on my word.<\/p>\n In January of this year, several media echoed an anonymous manifesto from supposed Vox members<\/a>. The manifesto said: \"the signatories of this MANIFESTO, all elected, organic and affiliated officials of VOX\"<\/em>, and then went on to explain certain things. The funniest thing is that those supposed \"elected, organic and affiliated officials\" \"forgot\" to sign the text<\/strong>. The document can be read in full here<\/a>. It did not include any signatures. No one endorsed it by name and surname.<\/p>\n On this basis, a newspaper very close to the Popular Party, El Mundo, published this headline: \"Vox bases promote a rebellion against Abascal and his 'bunker'.\"<\/em><\/a> That newspaper \"forgot\" to say that it was an anonymous manifesto,<\/strong> that is, it could have been written and distributed by a single person who had no connection to Vox. Two weeks later, Abascal was re-elected as president of Vox<\/a> without any alternative candidacy being presented. The supposed \"rebellion of the bases\" was a hoax<\/strong> for which El Mundo has not yet apologized.<\/p>\n Yesterday, another media outlet very close to the PP, VozP\u00f3puli, echoed a new anonymous manifesto<\/a> supposedly signed by \"critics of Vox\". Coincidentally, the text cited by the outlet includes entire sentences from the anonymous manifesto published in January<\/strong>, a text that VozP\u00f3puli had already published at the time<\/a>, with one difference: in January it at least had the detail of inserting the document in its news story, so that anyone could check that it did not bear any signature. Now it does not even link to it.<\/p>\n Imagine what some people would say if I published an anonymous manifesto from employees or subscribers of El Mundo or VozP\u00f3puli<\/strong> criticizing the editorial line of these media, their journalistic practices or the color of their directors' ties. They would probably think that this is not a serious site.<\/strong> Well, that is exactly what supposedly serious media outlets like those mentioned do. Having said that, I only have one question left to ask: is anything fair against Vox?<\/strong><\/p>\n ---<\/p>\n
