Bustinduy demonizes Israel and calls for punishing the Jewish State<\/big><\/p>\n Yesterday it was the turn of Pablo Bustinduy, Minister of Consumption and member of the far-left coalition Sumar<\/strong>, the new electoral brand of the Communist Party of Spain (PCE), led by the communist Yolanda D\u00edaz. Bustinduy announced<\/a> that products from Israel will have to indicate whether they come from settlements that he described as \"illegal\". In addition to these measures, which could provoke a trade war between the two countries, the minister accused Israel of \"human rights violations\"<\/strong> and called for the suspension of the European free trade agreement with that country.<\/p>\n Bustinduy criticised sanctions against Russia following the annexation of Crimea<\/big><\/p>\n Like all left-wing extremists, S\u00e1nchez's minister has a very unequal concept of human rights and international relations. In June 2016, following Russia's annexation of Crimea,<\/strong> Bustinduy criticised European sanctions against Russia<\/a>, calling for \"to establish a relationship with Russia that would be beneficial to both parties.\"<\/em> In 2017, Russian state media outlet Sputnik highlighted Bustinduy's position<\/a>, noting that the then Podemos MP \"was one of the most critical of European foreign policy towards Russia.<\/strong>\"<\/em><\/p>\n He also voted against a condemnation of the dictatorship of Nicol\u00e1s Maduro<\/big><\/p>\n In October 2018, Bustinduy spoke on behalf of Podemos to reject a PP initiative<\/a> against human rights violations by the Nicol\u00e1s Maduro regime<\/strong>, an initiative that called on S\u00e1nchez's government to condemn that dictatorship. The parliamentary dossier for this initiative can be seen here<\/a>, which was approved by 176 votes in favour, 74 against and 90 abstentions. Pablo Bustinduy voted against<\/strong>, as can be seen here<\/a>.<\/p>\n He criticized the European sanctions against the Cuban dictatorship<\/big><\/p>\n Similarly, in October 2017, during a speech in Congress representing the far-left party Podemos, Bustinduy criticized European sanctions against the communist dictatorship in Cuba<\/a>, which has been violating the human rights of Cubans for decades<\/strong>.<\/p>\n In 2016, he praised dictator Fidel Castro and attended his funeral.<\/big><\/p>\n The ultra-left deputy's position in defense of this anti-democratic regime was no surprise. A year earlier, Bustinduy had traveled to Cuba to participate in the funeral of dictator Fidel Castro<\/strong>, to whom he dedicated words of praise<\/a>. A few days later, Bustinduy gave an interview to the ultra-leftist newspaper P\u00fablico<\/a> in which he spoke about his trip to that country, about Fidel and about his regime without dedicating a single word to the multitude of violations of Cuban rights perpetrated by that dictatorship<\/strong> or to the lack of freedoms that Cubans have been suffering under communism.<\/p>\n The most anti-Semitic government in the European Union<\/big><\/p>\n Given this, the minister's attacks on Israel are a display of cynicism<\/strong>, as he not only falsely accuses that country of violating human rights after having refused to condemn real violations of those rights in dictatorships such as those mentioned, but also Bustinduy is participating in a campaign of demonization against a country that is defending itself from terrorist attacks<\/strong> after the greatest massacre suffered by the Jewish people since the Holocaust.<\/p>\n Once again, the S\u00e1nchez government is showing itself to be the most anti-Semitic government in the European Union<\/strong>, a coalition government of socialists and communists that remains silent in the face of the abuses of dictatorships such as Cuba and Venezuela, that forges alliances with some of the worst dictatorships in the world<\/a> and at the same time demonizes the only Jewish state and the only real democracy in the Middle East,<\/strong> which is the State of Israel.<\/p>\n ---<\/p>\n
